Coral Bingo Say Goodbye To Virtue Fusion
Article Updated On 16th January 2020
The first big bingo event of 2020 has taken place with Coral Bingo leaving Virtue Fusion. Players to their bingo channel are now offered the chance to enjoy slots and bingo games on the revamped Cozy platform flagshipped by Foxy. This move isn't unsurprising because GVC who own Foxy also own Coral. And as they also own Ladbrokes and Gala this move may just be the start.
Visitors to Coral Bingo can still play 30, 75, 80 and 90 ball bingo but rooms such as Cash Cubes, Rainbow Riches Bingo, Coronation Street Bingo etc have now gone. In their place are nine rooms including Friends Bingo, Speedball (30), Smart Play (90), Premiere Party (90), Level 80 and Strive 75. This is less than the number of rooms available at Foxy and doesn't include the recently launched Cash Out Bingo game.
Shared Bingo Rooms
As far as we're aware most of Coral's rooms are shared with Foxy. For example Savvy Saver at Coral is No Fox Given at Foxy. Similarly Coral's £10K Dash is Foxy's £10K Slide In Bingo room. Coral do have a Premiere Party room that's offering the chance to win £500 with a free bingo game (January 2020). We're assuming this is a welcome game for depositors or to celebrate the new platform but details are scant. Don't forget to see our revised review of Coral Bingo for more details.
The platform change means that there's also a change in the slots roster. However for the most part all the top titles are still available. These include Slingo, Monopoly, Fluffy Favourites and Starburst. However we found locating more slots other than those on the homepage quite challenging. We anticipate that Coral will eventually move their slots and casino offering also over to the GVC set-up, instead of Playtech.
More To Follow
Coral Bingo's move from Virtue Fusion creates a lot of questions. Is it a good move? Will other brands follow? Possibly and yes are the answers. It is a good move because it should give Foxy and the new platform a boost. More players should mean bigger pots and better promotions. The move also means Coral's bingo is now different to that offered by Bet365, Paddy Power and William Hill.
We fully expect Ladbrokes Bingo to follow in Coral's footsteps. You only need to look at the Ladbrokes Bingo channel to see that as it's in a sorry state. The big question is whether GVC's other big brand - Gala - will also make the switch. It may do in time but we think there are too many exclusive games such as Coronation Street, The Chase and Bingo Beats at Gala for a straightforward swap.
