Influencer Bingo Arrives At MrQ

When online bingo first kicked off online it was dominated by celebrities. Sites like Jackpotjoy, Mirror Bingo, Gala and Sun Bingo would regularly be joined by the likes of Russell Grant or a Big Brother favourite for a chat and bingo play. These days celebs do pop up on bingo brands although often as part of advertising or promotions. However one brand is hoping that they can bring celebrity chat back to the masses. MrQ are launching Influencer Bingo.
Influencer Bingo starts at MrQ on between 8pm and 9pm on 2nd May 2020. First into the room is Cara De La Hoyde. Cara is most well known for her stint on Love Island when she won the show in 2016 with Nathan Massey. Surprisingly for these kind of reality shows the couple managed to stay together, get married and have a child, Freddie-George. Did you know that Freddie's Godfather is none other than Timmy Mallett? You learn something new every day!
1.1 Million Instagram Followers
These days Cara can be found posting on Instagram where she boasts an incredible 1.1million followers. She also has 355,000 followers on Twitter. Cara is also expecting her second child and regularly shares updates of the pregnancy on her insta page. She describes herself as a yummy mummy and is also co-owner of Embroidery By FJ which gives parents the opportunity to build up a personalised wardrobe for their "little angels". And this Saturday she's going to be playing bingo.
So what will happen during Influencer Bingo at MrQ. Well between 8pm and 9pm Cara will be on the live chat feed. This means players can interact with her during the hour. Hopefully she'll be talking about her time on Love Island, her life with Nathan and what it's like being a mum. During the hour they'll also be bingo games taking place every 5 minutes. Tickets cost 10p each per game but note you must purchase a minimum six tickets (maximum 96).
Who Will Be Next For Influencer Bingo?
It'll be interesting to see which other celebrities or influencers MrQ gets in over the coming weeks. It'll also be interesting to see whether the presence of the influencers encourages interest in MrQ. We did take a look at Cara's instagram and twitter page and there's no reference (as yet) to her stint in the MrQ bingo room. However it's important to take into account that in the current climate promotion of gambling is very much on the back burner.
With many brands switching to plug-in products like Pragmatic Play, online bingo players have fewer options when it comes to platform choice. Most certainly proprietary platforms like MrQ are an endangered species and only Tombola managing to take on the big brands.
