Last Cozy Games Bingo Brands To Close
Article Updated On 12th August 2020
Back in June we told you that some of the remaining Cozy Bingo brands were due to close. Sites like Mummies, Velvet and Booty all shut down on the platform purchased by GVC back in 2018, although they've all since relaunched on Dragonfish. However the final tranche of Cozy brands are now about to depart the bingo world therefore bringing an end to the last remnants of the Cozy Bingo platform once and for all.
The sites that will be closing their doors later this month are Game Village, Bingo Magix, Beckys Bingo, Lucky Ladies Bingo, Swanky Bingo and Wow Bingo. The demise of these brands is not a surprise as the writing has been on the wall for all them since GVC started closing sites off the network over 12 months ago. GVC purchased the Cozy software to develop their own platform and network - The GVC Network - and populate it with their own brands such as Foxy, Cheeky, Ladbrokes and Coral. That process has now been completed.

However the closures do come with a tinge of sadness. The Cozy platform has featured on Loquax for several years and it included our own Snappy Bingo. In truth it wasn't the best option for players but the no deposit welcome offers did appeal to many. However what didn't appeal were the high wagering terms and increase in slot related promotions. The various networks (Live, Fun, Best) slowly merged into one and once taxation on bonuses became a factor the Cozy platform quickly ran into problems. GVC purchased the company and the rest is now history.
It'll be interesting to see if any of the final closures return as new sites. One site we would like to see be relaunched is Game Village Bingo. Before it was on Cozy's Lucky Duck Network it was a standalone site on it's own software. It had fun free games, Chip Van Bingo and plenty of exclusive promotions. The brand died a death when it ended up on Cozy and The Lucky Duck Network so any revival would need to be special to bring back lost players. We don't envisage any of the other above mentioned sites to return any time soon.
All the sites listed above are still active until at least the 17th or 27th August. This means if you have funds in accounts with these brands then you can still use them to play bingo and slots. Alternatively you will have the opportunity to withdraw your money. If you miss the closure date and believe you have funds in an old Cozy Network site then check your emails. You hopefully should have received notification of a site closure and how to go about collecting your cash.
Although the sites remain active new players are not able to register. If you do want to play on the platform then sign up with one of the GVC Network brands. The bingo games and slots on offer are very similar across Ladbrokes, Coral, Cheeky and Foxy. However there are occasionally a few differences when it comes to promotions. We find that Foxy tends to have the most player offers but Ladbrokes and Coral offer more free games.
