BetVictor Bingo To Launch In 2021

Way back in 2013 EGR reported that Bet Victor was about to launch it's first bingo product. Whilst most other bookmakers including William Hill, Sky and Ladbrokes had already launched bingo channels, Bet Victor hadn't managed to get out the starting blocks. According to the EGR report BetVictor had agreed a content partnership deal with software supplier Bede Gaming and the new site would hard launch in 2014.
However no new site was forthcoming and it looked like Bet Victor had shelved the decision to add bingo to it's roster. We're not sure what happened with the original plans but do understand that BetVictor Bingo was to be powered by the same software behind Bingo Godz. The latter arrived on the scene with a fanfare and a bit of Brian Blessed but failed to make any impact with players. We can summise that the failure of Bingo Godz may well have given Victor cold feet or that the platform owners wanted to iron out some issues before expanding their reach. Either way it resulted in no BetVictor Bingo.
BetVictor Bingo Is On It's Way!
Until now! We understand that Bet Victor are now looking to hire a Head Manager, Retention & Engagement Manager, Acquisition Manager and Affiliate Manager for a bingo brand. Work has already started on developing a Bingo Brand Identity so that sounds as though the new site may not necessarily integrate with the current BetVictor sportsbook and casino site. The big question is what bingo platform will BetVictor choose? Will they opt for Virtue Fusion as preferred by bookmaker competitors like Paddy Power and William Hill or will they try something different and consider Jumpman or Dragonfish.
The only clue we've unearthed via a Linkedin post is that BetVictor has teamed up with a large UK media company for their bingo product. This makes us wonder whether they've gone back to Bede Gaming who recently signed a deal with Broadway Gaming Ltd (Butlers Bingo). The bingo on these particular sites used to be powered by Microgaming but when they closed their platform down Broadway opted for Pragmatic Play's plug-in product. This is the same bingo that's currently used by Jumpman brands like Mirror Bingo, PlayOJO and LeoVegas Bingo. It is feasible that BetVictor have followed their bookie counterparts on to the Virtue Fusion platform - but that could still end up being via Bede who do something similar for Mecca Bingo!
New Bingo Sites
The arrival of BetVictor Bingo later this year is something to at least look forward to. To date there's been relatively little in terms of new bingo sites launching in 2021. Other than New Spins there's been very little to get excited about so far this year. Obviously given the current health climate the lack of new sites perhaps isn't that surprising. New sites however do create interest for players (and siteowners) because sometimes they bring something new to the table. PlayOJO for example arrived with a flourish and brought along The Masked Singer Bingo for the ride.
New sites also give existing brands a much needed kick up the backside. Paddy Power, Ladbrokes, Coral, William Hill, Sky, Betfair, Unibet and Bet365 won't want BetVictor getting too much of a toe hold in the bookies meets bingo market. Therefore we anticipate that they'll be working extra hard to keep their players interested and entice new ones too. And that wouldn't be a bad thing because in some quarters bingo has gotten a little stale. Bet365 and William Hill for example have dropped welcome offers for new players as well as been lacking in big prize promotions.
