New & Lost Welcome Bonuses For Bingo Players
Article Updated On 11th March 2021
Welcome bonuses are often the main carrot offered by bingo brands to entice new players through their doors. This bonus can be anything from free bingo tickets, slot spins or bonus money. Sites chop and change these offers every now and then to keep things fresh. This week we've seen a few sites that have made changes to their welcome bonuses but it's not all good news. In fact two sites looked to have done away with them altogether.
Let's start with the good news. Bet365 Bingo actually removed their welcome offer last year but they're now back with a new deal for newbies. As is typical for a Virtual Fusion/Playtech brand it's a deposit and spend bonus offer. New players who deposit and spend £10 cash on bingo tickets can claim 200 free tickets. Once claimed, you can use the Free Tickets in games that display the 'Free Ticket' symbol in The Catwalk and Tinsel Town Bingo rooms, with the exception of Linx games. A maximum of six Free Tickets can be used per game. There is an option to buy additional tickets with your cash balance.
No Wagering Terms On Wins
Terms do apply to this offer and these include the following: You will be notified in the Bingo Lobby once your Free Tickets are available and you must accept them via the pop-up. If you click 'Reject' when receiving this pop-up then you will not get another chance to accept the Free Tickets. Free Ticket winnings will be automatically credited to your withdrawable balance and have no attached wagering requirements. Any unused Free Tickets will be removed within 14 days of accepting via the pop-up. Full terms and conditions for this offer can be found at Bet365 Bingo or by visiting our Bet365 Bingo Review page.
The return of the Bet365 Bingo is a good sign and perhaps one that is worth noting given recent changes at other sites. Bgo.com and Boylesports Bingo have both removed their welcome offers for bingo players. The former still has it's win up to 500 free spins from the Mega Wheel whilst Boyles has a sportsbook offer. Both are OK welcome offers in their own right but not if you're a keen bingo player. Bgo also do have a newbies room promotion but it is incredibly limited in value. Spend 1p to access a newbie room that's open for 6 games a day for token prizes! It begs the question why would you consider signing up as a newbie at either brand when there are better options!
Why Drop The Welcome Offer
Another site without a welcome offer for bingo players is William Hill. However they do have The Bonus Drop promotion which gives players the chance to win up to £1000 daily for free, no deposit is needed. This promotion runs daily until the end of May and we therefore don't anticipate William Hill changing the status quo until at least then. Whilst no welcome offer or newbie room isn't much of an incentive for new players we do think the free game does make up for things. We do wonder whether William Hill will eventually follow suit as Bet365 and offer free tickets with no wagering terms on wins.
But what about Bgo.com and Boylesports? Are they going to follow the smae path as Bet365? We're not so sure as the removal of these offers has been done very quietly. Bgo have also quietly dropped their The Big Competition monthly promotion and there's minimal offers on their channel. Boylesports has always been quiet on the bingo front. This makes us believe that both brands could be implementing bigger changes down the line. Remember Mirror Bingo dampened down their site before leaving Playtech for Jumpman. Perhaps we might see further new additions to the Pragmatic Play set-up alongside BetVictor Bingo which launches later this year?
