Recent reports have suggested that the Pokemon Go craze may have already reached it's peak. The app, which Apple claims has broken the record for most downloads in a week, allows people to search for Pokemon in an augmented reality world. One of the reasons for the decline is that there's not much reward involved once you've caught your Pokemon. Imagine though if a similar app was launched that did offer rewards?
Well imagine no more because the folks at 888Sport have come up with their own version of Pokemon Go. The Free Bet Hunt allows you to track down and capture free bets ahead of the football on Saturdays. Now before you rush over to get involved there are a few limitations to take into account. For starters, 888Sport aren't leaving their free bets in any old place!
Instead they will be putting their free bets at home Premier League stadiums and matches where Birmingham, Brentford, Preston and Nottingham Forest are in action. To claim your free bet you have to use your 888sport mobile app to track down the freebies and get your account credited! Free bets are only available to be claimed between 10.30am and 9.30pm.
Claim Up To £35 Free Bets
Those searching for freebies will be able to claim up to £35 worth of free bets by navigating to the "free bet stops". Each of the 5 bet stops will contain a free bet with the value of either £5 or £10. It's not clear whether you may only claim a total of £35 over the whole promotion or each week. We think it may well be the former!
We suspect that 888Sport will be limiting the number of free bets and locations each week. So for example one week there may only be free bets to be claimed at Southampton and Arsenal. In other weeks they may be at Brentford and Nottingham Forest. Still the best thing to do is download the app and check every week to discover the free bet stops.
888Sport have created a clever way to use the 'Pokemon Go technology'. Football fans love to bet on their team and collecting a free bet is always good. It also allows 888Sport to have 'access' to football fans at multiple stadia, many of which have their own bookies partner. A kind of augmented reality way of stepping on your competitor's toes!
