Network building seems to be the operative theme for bingo this year. The Live Bingo Network and 15 Marketing have been rapidly adding new assets to their roster but following behind them are Mandalay Media. Up until now they were happy with their flagship brand of Costa Bingo plus the likes of Fancy, City and Sing. However this year they've upped their game and are now adding a third new brand to their group in as many months.
Joining Rio and Wish in this expanding stable is the oddly titled Angry Bingo. One can only assume that this is some kind of homeage to the popular Angry Birds game as the site features some quite irate bingo ball characters and a bingo balled shaped pig. Angry perhaps isn't the title we'd give a site - although it may prove to be a master stroke given how annoyed some players can get when they don't win.
A first look at Angry Bingo and we have a graphically pleasing site with bold colours and interest. The strong visuals soften the fact that you're also greeted by some miserable faces - not quite what you want to see. Mind you some folks don't like foxes and chickens so what do we know! Remove all this though and there's perhaps reasons to be angered as what you simply have is another incarnation of Rio and Wish.
New players to this version of Mandalay's expanding network are offered free bingo games plus a 200% welcome bonus. Once through this part of the joining process you're met with the same games, slots, and promos that you'd find elsewhere. This includes the "£10K Cash Bomb" which is the £10K Golden Souk and Costa's £10K Crazy game - i.e. a freebie for depositors every Friday week.
Wicked Wonga Jackpots
If you've not visited any of Angry's sister sites before then there's plenty here to enjoy. There are free bingo games, including some for non-depositors and specials for funded players. Newbies not only get a first deposit welcome but there's a further 100% reload bonus code (100NEW) as well as 50% extra on further deposits. When the Point of Consumption Tax comes in we anticipate that this may well change.
Each day at 9pm there are some jackpot games and these all have angry names such as Mad Money, Livid Loot, Crazy Cash, Raging Riches, Fiery Fortune, Dangerous Dosh and Wicked Wonga. The latter, which is our favourite, sounds more like a statement though! As well as plenty of 75 and 90 ball games there's a fabulous selection of slots and instants. For those of you who are interested the site uses the Dragonfish/Cassava platform.
Overall it's an interesting looking site with a name that may pique interest. It may even pique interest from the owners of Angry Birds who may feel there's a little bit of "inspired by" at work here. On the downside there's not a lot new to get excited about and whilst that doesn't anger us, it does leave us just a little frustrated.
