Live Game Shows
Roulette, blackjack and poker are well established live casino games. However developers have constantly been trying to expand on the roster. Live bingo has been one nut which hasn't quite been cracked but there are plenty of other games that work well in a live casino setting. Evolution Gaming are at the forefront of the live game show experience. They're behind one of the first casino game shows, Dream Catcher and have since gone on to launch live versions of Deal Or No Deal and Monopoly. Mega Ball Live arrived in 2020 and is probably the closest thing to a live bingo game that we've seen to date.
So what is a casino TV game show? These are basically games that you can bet on and play live. They involve a studio setting, a presenter and some kind of easy to play game. You'll be invited to bet on outcomes such as the turn of a wheel for the chance to win prizes. The games tend to be fast paced whilst the presenter's role is usually to create an immersive experience and interact with the players. Occasionally the presenter may act as the dealer - for example spinning a prize wheel.
Live Game Show Reviews
Games You Can Play
Above are our reviews of selected game shows, but below you can find a list of all options that can be played:
Dream Catcher - this was the first game show to appear online. Players simply bet on the number they think the wheel will stop at.
Spin A Win - very similar to Dream Catcher but this game is provided by Playtech.
Monopoly Live - the popular board game meets Dream Catcher. This game involves a Money Wheel but also includes an added Monopoly themed 3D Bonus Round!
Lightning Roulette - it's roulette but with extra chances to win. In each game round, between one and five Lucky Numbers are struck by lightning.
Deal Or No Deal Live - the world's first 24 hour online live game show. There's no Noel Edmunds but a spinning qualification wheel and the chance to open briefcases to find cash prizes.
Lightning Dice - the dice get rolled and you can bet on the outcome. At the end of the round lightning stikes to potentially boost wins by a random multiplier of up to 1000x.
Football Studio - it's football but with cards. Players can bet on a Home Win, Away Win or Draw. It's unbelievable Jeff!
Mega Ball Live - this is a bingo and keno style that gives you the chance to win big with the Mega Ball
We expect the number of games to continue to increase. Whether the formats change dramatically remains to be seen. Spinning wheels, rolling dice and turning cards are easy mechanics. Mega Ball Live is the closest game we've experienced to live bingo so there is potential that it could be developed further. Another trend with respect to live games is the trivia quiz. A number of bingo and casino brands are running live quizzes and offering players the chance to win cash prizes. These are usually free to play too.
