Wizard Of Odds Slot Review
When your first spin on a slot comes up with lots of Wild Cards and then announces 'big win' you kind of get the feeling it's going to be a good day. Wizard of Odds is the brand new slot from Ladbrokes Games - it's a 5 reel, 20 line slot game that's currently exclusive to the site - at least for a few months.
Wizard of Odds, from Williams Interactive, is bright, colourful and features various wizardry icons such as hats, cauldrons and spell books. There are various bonuses that activate when some of these objects appear. Unusually during our review play we managed to trigger all three at various times.
The Cauldron Bonus appears when you get three cauldrons. It's a strange bonus round as you select from six coloured potion bottles, a wizard pours them into a cauldron and you win a cash prize. You repeat this a few times and walk away with a nice total. It's pretty but actually quite mundane and we found it froze the computer a few times.
The spellbook bonus was even less interactive! This bonus is triggered when a book appears in the middle line - as the pages open so your bonus prize increases. It's a nice extra mind you and we most certainly weren't complaining when it came up a couple of times!
The hat bonus appears when you get three wizard hats. First off all you're asked to select one hat to determine the number of spins and then you select again to decide your multiplier. A ten free spin x 1 multiplier win resulted in just a £3.50 prize so this was for us the least favourite bonus.
The game play was smooth and there were plenty of wins to keep you at the button. We left the Wizard of Odds behind with a decent increase in our account - that won't happen all the time but even so that aside it was an enjoyable slots game. The progressive jackpot of over £100,000 will mean we'll return to Odds for another day.
