Black Widow sounds as though it should be another addition to the Marvel Slot series, but unfortunately it isn't. Black Widow is in fact a 5 reel slot with 40 pay lines. It's by High 5 Games for IGT and it features a femme fatale who's got a number of husbands who she's more than happy to bump off. It's an interesting theme for a slot game if nothing else!
To make a killing with Black Widow you need to make get a winning line of the husband symbols. These tend to come in blocks (or Super Stacks) so when you win with these symbols you win big. We're not sure who the guys in the game are but we swear that the "green man" is a dead ringer for Gary Lineker whilst "Mr Pink" could be Rob Lowe. The slot is accompanied with a hefty bass driven soundtrack which reminds us of Twin Peaks.
The music is only interrupted when a big win or wild appears on the reels. Wilds and free spins are really the only main features of the game. The free spin feature is triggered when you get nine bonus scatter symbols on the centre reels. Capture a male symbol during the free spins round and you'll be increasing your winnings by at least x3. Capture a female symbol and a similar bonus is activated.
The graphics are decent and the soundtrack not too intrusive. In fact we can definitely say we enjoyed playing Black Widow. The Return to Player (RTP) calculation is apparently 96% and we definitely felt that winning spins were more regular than we've seen on other slots recently. Most certainly it made us want to keep playing and it didn't make us feel like it was simply there to drain the money from our account.
It doesn't have to cost a fortune to play either. Black Widow has a minimum bet per line of 1p and a maximum bet per line of £30. Black Widow is available to play at Betfred Slots, Bgo Vegas and Kerching. As far as we're aware it's currently not available as a mobile slot game, but you can play a demo version for free at the casinos mentioned.
