Emoji Planet Slot Review
You can't look anywhere online these days without there being an emoji present. The small graphical images have become a language in themselves and they've even made a film about it. An incredibly bad film by all accounts, but a film none the less. Emojis have also popped up in online games with Tombola Arcade and Mecca Bingo both using the characters for instants and bingo respectively.
Mr Green are the latest gambling site to jump on the emoji bandwagon. They've just exclusively launched the Net Entertainment designed Emoji Planet slot. The game is played on a 5 line by 6 column grid full of blocks of icons such as hearts, lips, rockets, laughing faces, poops and pizza. On each spin the blocks fall out the grid and are repopulated with new ones.
The aim of the game is to get clusters of five or more of the same symbol. If this occurs then they are removed from the grid and new blocks added. This sequence continues until there are no more wins. Some symbols also have special features - explode 12 or more pizza, bomb, heart, lips or rocket symbols to activate wilds, stickies etc.
Emoji Planet is accompanied by one of the best slot soundtracks we've come across. Whilst playing make sure you also look out for various characters peeking their head around. For example you'll spot Gonzo from Gonzo's Quest on occasions - why we do not know as it adds absolutely nothing to the game! Falling in to that category are the two devil women dancing on a cloud. It's very surreal.
Smiley Or Poo Face?
However this surreality doesn't detract from what is a fun game. The biggest issue we have with Emoji Planet is that it's relatively light in the popular emoji department. If you took away the poop and laughter symbols we're not sure you would instantly recognise the game's theme.
That is a minor point and thankfully this isn't a slot based on the Emoji Movie. We do wonder whether one will be on it's way though!
