Heartburst Slot Review
Since The UKGC clamped down on slots that appeal to children, software developers have been working hard with respect to their game themes. Eyecon Games took a lot of flak due to their cute and cuddly Fluffy Favourites series. However, they're back on safer ground with the 5 reel, 100 payline game that's Heartburst.
Heartburst from Eyecon Games plays things safe by sticking to tried and trusted slot symbols. These include hearts, bars, bells, cherries, grapes, oranges, melons and lemons. Joining these icons on the reels are J, Q, K, A and Lucky 7s. The Lucky 7 is the scatter symbol whilst the heart takes on the role of substitute.
The bar is the highest paying symbol at x3000 for 5 of a kind. Five bells will pay out x2000 whilst cherries, which are usually low value, will reward you with x1000 for five of a kind. Game play is accompanied with a funky soundtrack. The 80s have called though and they're asking for it back!
Heartburst has two main features. Get 3, 4 or 5 Lucky 7 symbols on the reels to activate a free spins bonus round. The number of spins will be either 15, 20 or 25. Free spins can be retriggered up to a maximum of 15 times.
The heart symbol can only appear on reels 1, 3 and 5. When it appears then it will replace all other symbols, except the Lucky 7. Heart symbols expand to cover all positions on the reel and any prizes are tripled when the substitute symbol appears on a win line.
Heartburst is a very simple slot with limited features. It's very much 'back to basics' in terms of look, design, sound and gameplay. That said it does maintain interest and the Heartburst feature isn't shy about appearing. This medium variant slot has a RTP of 95.5% and can be played on mobile, tablet and desktop.
