Beavis & Butthead Slot Review
Paddy Power Games
Back in 2018 The UKGC clamped down on casino and slot providers for using cartoon images that appeal to children. Thankfully that ruling didn't include cartoons that appeal to adults. Way back in 1992 long before South Park, King Of The Hill, Family Guy and American Dad, MTV had an animated series of their own. Created by Mike Judge, it was called Beavis and Butthead and featured the lives of two lady obsessed, heavy metal loving, delinquents. Now they're back in a new slot game from Blueprint Gaming.
Beavis and Butthead is a 5 reel, 20 payline slot from Blueprint Gaming. The slot is set in a TV screen with our heroes watching from left and right positions. Butthead has the remote control which is used to great effect during gameplay. The opening screen shows the various bonus rounds that you may encounter whilst spinning the reels. As you'd expect the look and design is exactly like the actual TV series.
How To Play
On the reels you'll find the show's logo as the highest paying symbol - x500 for 5 of a kind. These can also be super-stacked for bigger wins. Beavis and Butthead both pay x300 for five of a kind on a win line. They are joined on the reels by Principal McVicker and David Van Driessen, the hippy teacher of Highland High School. Playing card symbols of J, Q, K and A complete the roster along with wilds and bonus scatter symbols.
Wagering on Beavis and Butthead starts at 10p a spin but can be adjusted upwards to £500 (Casumo). Click on the button at the left of the slot to adjust your wager. An Autoplay option is available. This is found at the bottom right of the slot and allows 10 to 100 spins. These spins can be stopped by setting win/loss limits or if a jackpot is won.
Gameplay is fun. Occasionally Beavis and Butthead will make comments such as "this sucks" when only two scatter symbols drop on the reels. Get three or more and you activate the bonus round. At the start of this round you spin the wheel to determine the prize game you'll be playing. These include Don't Be A Buzzkill, Customers Suck, To B Or Not To B Free Spins, MaxiMart Free Spins, The Great Cornholio Free Spins and Just Deserts Big Money.
Each of these rounds brings more Beavis and Butthead fun to the fore. For example in To B Or Not To B Free Spins the player gets 10 free spins. These spins alternative with Beavis Wilds and Butthead Wilds. During the Customers Suck! Bonus round you need to select food items to win bet multipliers. Look out too for the chance to win tokens during bonus rounds as these lead to extra chances to win.
In addition to the scatter bonus, random features can occur during the game. Colossal Couch Fishing for example turns reels 2, 3 and 4 into one giant symbol. Die Fly, Die! results in wilds being randomly created. Other features include Cornholio Wilds, So Nacho, Butt Flambe and Some Like It Hot. There are also non-features including the reels seemingly not stopping until Butthead uses his remote to fix the TV!
The base game itself can be a little dry, however it's worth persevering for the random features and bonus rounds. These are where Beavis and Butthead get to shine and serve a reminder of their old MTV days and feature movie Beavis and Butthead Do America. The slot has an RTP of 95.49% so look out for a few small wins, The bigger money does tend to come in the bonus game. Overall though, this game does not suck and fans of the show will love revisiting our heroes.
