Power Spins Review

Powerspins.com launched in March 2017 and became the first sister site to Bgo.com. The design of Power Spins in fact became a precursor to changes at Bgo. However, whilst the games on offer are pretty much identical, there are significant differences between the two brands. In fact Power Spins started life as a wager free casino but like it's sister brands it's opted to adopt a more traditional approach.

Power Spins is a colourful and attractive slots brand. The site's homepage, dominated by blue and purple, features a wide range of progressive jackpots, top games and what's new in terms of slots. Surprisingly the site has not been designed to be responsive on mobile, but you can still play on handheld devices. A mobile version of site appears when you point your smartphone or tablet at Power Spins. No app is required for either Apple or Android devices. Overall it's a decent look site although occasionally we do find it slow to load.

Power Spins Welcome Offer

When it launched Power Spins offered a then unique bonus of a number of fair spins based on the amount deposited (£10 to £50). At the time Power Spins was a wager free site and a precursor to changes that then materialised at Bgo.com. Surprisingly Power Spins has dropped the no wagering aspect and so new players who deposit £10 to £100 will receive a 100% welcome bonus. This bonus comes with a x65 wagering term. We suspect that a Mega Wheel bonus, as used by Chilli and Bgo.com, will come into play soon.

Power Spins features a fantastic selection of slots and games. At time of writing they now boast an incredible 801 different game options. The slots come from a variety of providers including Blueprint Gaming, Playtech, Williams Interactive and Net Entertainment. Among the top titles are Starburst, Aloha, Golden Goddess, Rocky, Sherlock Mystery, The Flintstones, Robocop, Mr Cashback, Space Invaders and Cleopatra. Playtech's recent series launch, Kingdoms Rise, is also available.

Power Spins Promotions

Jackpot slots are king at Power Spins. Mega Jackpot games like Jackpot Giant, Golden Goddess and Cleopatra are joined by Jackpot King, Red Tiger's Daily Drop Jackpots and Age Of The Gods progressives. With all these slots you'd think Power Spins doesn't need much more, but there is more. There are 16 versions of roulette including Age Of The Gods and Penny Roulette. Baccarat, blackjack and casino hold'em make up the rest of the table games. Surprisingly Power Spins doesn't have any live casino games.

When Power Spins launched it offered players a gamification element. Wagering earnt power points which ultimately led to bonuses and free spins. These were collected in the Power Store. This feature has been dropped and instead players can earn Diamonds for every £10 wagered. The Diamonds are redeemed in the Power Store although the options of Golden Chips and Tournaments have been "coming soon" since the site launched. The only other notable promotions are related to jackpot games mentioned above.

Our Verdict

Power Spins, and indeed all the Bgo.com sister brands, have one big achilles heel. They all have deposit and withdrawal charges. Every deposit you make under £500 results in a 2.5% fee of the amount deposited (minimum charge 50p). Likewise there's also a £2.50 charge for withdrawals. If you withdraw £100 then your bank account will only see £97.50. As far as we know this group of sites are the only ones to do this.

If you don't mind these charges then Power Spins is a site with an amazing selection of slots, especially in terms of jackpots and progressives. However it's worth noting that many of these same games can be played on other Playtech powered brands or other slot sites. In our view why play at Power Spins with charges on deposit/withdrawal when you can hit the same slots without the same penalties? Likewise why choose Power Spins when it's sister brand, Bgo.com, offers more player promotions such as spins tournaments?
