When Sun Bingo ran their last All Star Hotel promotion it was a joint promo with sister site Fabulous. However whilst the former is getting in on the action with a festive version of All Star Hotel we were surprised to find that Fabulous aren't involved this time. This is because they've in fact got their own big prize promotion running and it involves giving you the chance to tickets to see The Overtones. According to Wikipedia they're a UK-based vocal harmony group just in case like us you're wondering who they are! Anyway read on to discover how you could be seeing the boys in concert at a location near you.
Good Times Bingo Games
The format for Fabulous' The Overtones prize draw is very bingo orientated which is good to see. Firstly, Good Times Bingo games take place at Fabulous Bingo every Tuesday to Sunday in the Paris Room at 9.20pm. It'll be a 90 ball game with £10 for one line, £20 for two lines and The Overtones tickets for the full house winner. Note that before you play the game you'll need to enter the town code (or nearest venue) where the group are playing in the code area of the bingo lobby. If you don't do this then you won't win the tickets. Depositors also have another chance to win! All you need to do is enter your selected town code and spend £10 each week on bingo games to be entered into the prize draw which will take place the following Monday. Prize draws will take place every Monday from Monday 16th October until Monday 20th November and there are six pairs of tickets to be won each week.
Spin The Good Times Wheel
You can get another chance to win tickets by spinning the Good Times Wheel. This is a premium wheel so you'll need to deposit and wager to qualify. Qualification is by depositing and spending £10. This earns you a spin of the Good Times Wheel on the following day. Spin the wheel and it will earn you one ticket to the Good Times bingo games that take place each Monday at 9.05pm, 9.20pm and 9.35pm in the Paris Room. As with the daily games, the full house winners will all win a pair of tickets to The Overtones Tour. Details about these Monday games are not as clear as we'd like. For example we presume that players can still purchase tickets to get involved? This would be similar to the format that's being used by Sun Bingo for their Christmas All Star Hotel promotion.
Who Are The Overtones?
The Overtones comprise of Mike Crawshaw, Darren Everest, Mark Franks and Jay James Picton. The original line-up auditioned for The X-Factor as Lexi Joe but failed to make the cut for the final 24 acts. In order to practice, the now five member group, formed a painting and decorating company and it turns out that while painting a shop near Oxford Street in London they were discovered by a Warner Bros Records talent scout. There first album, Good Ol' Fashioned Love, sold over 500,000 copies. Tragedy hit the band in 2019 when original member Timmy Matley died after falling from a balcony. Lockie Chapman departed the line-up and Jay James stepped in. Their latest UK tour is already underway but they're still to play venues in London, Newcastle, Reading, Stoke, Sheffield and Glasgow. According to their own website, The Overtones are one of the UK’s most in demand live acts.
