September is a big month for bingo! After the summer lull the various operators like to pull out all the stops to get players back interested in playing. Bingo Hollywood are one site who are hoping a new advertising campaign helps them attract newbies down their very own red carpet.
The Bingo Hollywood adverts practically write themselves - given the brand name. Hollywood means movies and movies mean award ceremonies, excited nominees and annoying voice overs. Hollywood have taken the latter and really gone to tinsel town. We still have the ubiquitous but glamourous bingo ladies - but they're all happy as the nominees for these awards are welcome deposit bonuses, reload bonuses and a new £1 free for all new players.
However, like all award ceremonies there's a sense of deja vu from year to year! The biggest disappointment about this new ad campaign from Bingo Hollywood is that it's just a regurgitation of their Superstars from 2010. We still have the corny "the biggest winner is you" ending but you can't knock the fact that this ad is on point and well themed. We do think that the whole advertising could have been, to coin a movie term, rebooted for 2013.
The £1 free bingo offer may well help this campaign stand out, but in a month when Hollywood and other brands will be up against the Bingo Godz, this may not be enough.
