Play Britains Got Talent Bingo - 90 Ball Bingo

Published On 22nd April 2024

Britain’s Got Talent launched on our TV screens in 2007. Hosted by Ant & Dec alongside guest judges like Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden it's produced plenty of entertainment. The show has also unearthed stars like Diversity, Paul Potts, Ashleigh and Pudsey, Lost Voice Guy, Colin Thackery, Collabro, Jon Courtenay, Susan Boyle and 2023's winner Vigo Venn. The show has also attracted interest from online gambling and features in slots, scratchcards, slingo and the now closed BGT Games. However long before these games there was Britains Got Talent Bingo - an exclusive 90 ball game that started at Mecca Bingo but as of 2024 is now only on Sun Bingo and Fabulous Bingo. But how does BGT transfer it's popular talent show format into an exciting numbers game? We decided to put it through it's own audition.

How To Play Britain's Got Talent Bingo

The design of the Britain's Got Talent Bingo is quite busy. At the top of the room is where you'll see the number calls and prizes on offer. A Union Jack used to be in the background but this has been changed to more BGT style graphics. Below comes a series of three crosses, like the ones you see on the stage of the BGT TV show. Squeezed in below that are the bingo cards. At the foot of the background there's a nice reflective shot of the London skyline, which if you're of a certain age may well remind you of Thames TV! The BGT Bingo game is a 90 ball game and for the most part plays in exactly the same way as every other 90 ball game. The aim for you as the player is to get one line, two lines or a full house by matching the number calls with the numbers on your ticket. Winners of each round (1L, 2L, and FH) are announced with a loud BGT buzzer sound. Tickets for Britains Got Talent Bingo typically cost 10p each. Occasionally you might have to pay more. The maximum number of tickets you can purchase is usually 72.

Beat The Buzzer Jackpot

However to make the game more interesting there are a number of features including the Beat The Buzzer Jackpot - previously known as Lucky Numbers on Mecca. At the start of each game you're assigned three random numbers. These numbers appear on the crosses and range from 1 to 90 as you'd expect for a 90 ball game. The aim of Beath The Buzzer is to have 1, 2 or 3 of your chosen numbers still in play when the full house is called. If the numbers get called then they're buzzed out of the game. It's a sensible way to make the game more interesting and align it more to the TV Show. Finish with three numbers to win the Mega Talent pot, two numbers it's the Big Talent and have one remaining for Mini Talent. These pots are shared with other players and note you can only pick up a prize if you've played six or more tickets.

The Golden Buzzer

As well as The Buzzer Jackpot, Britain's Got Talent Bingo also boasts The Golden Buzzer Jackpot. This is simply a progressive jackpot that is won if the full house is called in 35 calls or less. If the jackpot is won then it's split 50/50 with half going to the winner and the remainder being split amongst roomies also playing the game. Under Mecca Bingo's watch there were Starstruck Games. These were games that took place during the regular sessions but gave you chances to win extra via a scratchcard element. This was actually dropped during a revamp of the game and it's actually not a surprise to see it not return here. The only other feature of interest is the BGT Bingo chat room although this is full of typical bingo chat and nothing to do with the actual show.

Our Verdict

It's good to see there's still life in Britain's Got Talent Bingo but sadly Sun Bingo have missed the opportunity to take it to Golden Buzzer level. Like a lot of TV game show bingo variations we think it could be better! A few clips from the show would make it more enjoyable for example. Judges or past contestants doing the bingo calls would be fun too. Players visiting for the first time will be disappointed not to see any images of the various contestants, presenters or judges involved. That said, as a 90 ball game it's still highly enjoyable and we like the features that have been added to try and tie in with the TV show theme. However to grab a share of Beat The Buzzer you need to play six tickets plus you share the pot with other roomies. At 60p a play that means it can get expensive.
