Igloo Bingo Review
Igloo Bingo joined Cozy Games Best Bingo Network back in 2016. At that time it was the 21st brand to join this group which seemed to be attracting more additions each month. Despite it's name you won't get a frosty reception as a player, but is there anything new and exciting at Igloo Bingo to make it worth a look?
Igloo Bingo is fun looking site that's well designed. The homepage features an eskimo and bingo ball shaped penguins being fired out of an igloo. However there is a bit of artistic licence going on here: penguins live in the Southern hemisphere, whilst Inuits are found in the North. It doesn't effect the bingo site in any way but we thought it was an interesting fact!
New players to Igloo Bingo are welcomed with a week of free newbie bingo. There's £3000 of games on offer with no deposit needed. By playing these free games it possible to get up to £20 as a bonus (payable on first deposit). First time depositors can also claim a 300% first deposit bonus. In addition there's an additional 150% bonus on the second and 100% on third reloads. Wagering terms apply (x4 for bingo, x20/x40 for slots).
As Igloo Bingo is a Cozy Games brand it means you'll find 30 ball, 75 ball, 80 ball and 90 ball games. Free bingo tournaments daily in the Bingo50 and Wizard Of Bingo rooms unfortunately ended in October 2017. This occurred when GVC acquired the Cozy platform. The change of ownership hasn't done the bingo much good but it has improved the quantity and quality of slots on offer.
At launch, in October 2016, Igloo Bingo boasted an exclusive free room and prize promotion. This has since closed along with their Facebook page. That's not good news and sadly relegates Igloo down to the same level as all other brands on the Best Bingo Network.
On the plus side, there are network promotions to enjoy including a £4000 Pay Day Jackpot, Bonus Back offers on slots, weekly Friday jackpots and other reload bonus offers. We had hoped that once a lot of compliance and regulation issues were sorted Igloo would return to running their own promotions. We're now suspecting it'd be very unlikely to occur.
We had high hopes for Igloo when it first emerged back in 2016. It's exclusive rooms and prizes was a glimmer of hope that Cozy Games brands were going to evolve. Sadly that hasn't been the case and with compliance, bonus changes and new owners Igloo Bingo's attempts at being unique have frozen.
Frozen is perhaps the wrong choice of word - melting may be better. With Cozy Games expecting to close a number of their sites during 2019 we don't really see Igloo surviving. The £3000 of free bingo for the first week is perhaps the only incentive we can offer for players to visit. And even then that's probably not enough.
