Bingo Barmy Review
Dragonfish are ending a tough 2020 with a flurry as yet another new addition joins their ranks. Bingo Barmy is the latest new arrival onto the Maxi Network which is headed up by Chit Chat. However unlike recent launches such as Tickety, Mint and Pizazz, Barmy is a real money site which means it has no wagering concerns. And we thought that brands on Dragonfish were moving away from this concept. Another exciting point about Barmy is that it's on a new Dragonfish set-up known as Falcon.
Introducing Bingo Barmy
Bingo Barmy describes itself as a "new edgy online bingo site for UK Bingo players". It's also "Barmy in name and Barmy in deed". That's all well and good but is it really edgy and crazy? The site itself is mainly bathed in yellow pastel colours. A giraffe sporting big kissable lips and a lady with a headful of pink balloons add the edginess! Featured promotions and current bingo rooms occupy the upper area of the homepage whilst it's nice to see that slots, although still mentioned are pushed down the pecking order.
Bingo Barmy Welcome Offer
New players to Bingo Barmy are offered a welcome package consisting of a bingo bonus and slots spins. Register, login and deposit a minimum of £10 to receive a £20 bonus and 20 spins on Unicorn Bliss. Note that the bingo bonus actually is in ticket form so you actually receive 1,150 tickets that can only be used in selected rooms (Royal Room, Royal Room Mystery and Royal Room Prize Time). This does take the edge off the bonus slightly however any wins from the tickets and spins are paid in cash. Therefore with Barmy you don't need to worry about wagering terms.
You can try Barmy Bingo for free and without making a deposit. Register and login to the site and access the Free Bingo 75 and Free Bingo 90 Rooms to see how things work and maybe chat with other roomies. Note that these rooms do do not pay out any winnings - so it's not really worth playing in them and no one was playing in them when we visited. However there are two free jackpot rooms which pay out 50 Free Spins (90 ball every Monday at 9pm) and £10 (75 ball every Friday at 9pm). The Free4U Room which used to be accessible to all has now become accessible only to funded players.
Bingo Barmy Promotions
The lobby area of Bingo Barmy is apparently new and exciting. Dubbed Falcon it's supposedly an improvement on 'Snow White' however the only significant difference seems to be on the home screen which features quick access links to popular sections, upcoming games and popular slots. Barmy boasts 27 different bingo rooms although the main ones are Blighty 90, Fun In 90 and the 75 ball room Number 10. These are joined by the Dragonfish 52 ball staples Hit 52 and Bingo Roulette.
All other rooms are jackpot rooms such as Mystery Jackpots and Even Stevens. Look under the Free section for more free game options for depositors including freebies that take place every Sunday and Monday. Under Invite Only you'll find the Big £10K game. This is a £10,000 monthly jackpot that occurs on the 10th of every month across all Dragonfish powered brand. The highlight for Barmy is the Royal Room section which hosts exclusive rooms for this particular network of sites. Their presence means that they can run promotions not seen on most other Dragonfish brands.
Away from the Royal Rooms, Bingo Barmy promotions are limited to the jackpot rooms and a daily promo. This gives players the chance to claim extra bonuses on deposit. A nice touch offered by Barmy is that players can win flowers for their birthday. However you do need to have deposited then tell a chat host on Wednesdays or Thursdays and then hope you're picked in a draw. Although this is great it should also be noted that the promo is across all the Maxi brands including Chit Chat Bingo, Bid Bingo, Bingo Ireland, Loadsa Bingo, UK-Bingo, Pink Ribbon Bingo, Lovehearts Bingo, Bingo52 and BingoZino.
With 27 bingo rooms, some exclusive to the mini network and over 500 slots there's plenty on offer for new players thinking of joining the Bingo Barmy Army. The no wagering aspect is good although the free bingo that's on offer for new players with no deposit is lacking in excitement. We just can't imagine players wanting to play for no rewards. However that's a Dragonfish issue rather than one with this particular brand. Overall there's plenty to like at Barmy but we're not quite sure it merits describing itself as edgy.
