Candy Shop Bingo Review
Candy Shop Bingo joined the Dragonfish Network in 2015. It is another sister site to the likes of Iceland, Bubble Bonus and Lucky Charm. At launch it was designed as an old fashioned sweet shop full of sickly sweet things. It was hosted by Betty - a candy flossed topped lady with eyes so wide it looks like she's loaded on the very sugar she's selling! However the theme has been dumbed down somewhat in light of UKGC guidelines.
We actually find the site visually quite hectic, which is quite a statement given we're the same people who produced Clucky Bingo. However Candy Shop Bingo is very busy with lots of bright and detailed graphics on a predominantly pink background. In many ways The UKGC intervention has benefited Candy Shop because it's resulted in many things, including the weird Ghostbusters style slime, being lost. Sadly Betty has gone so the site does lack character.
A good bingo site isn't all about what's on the front page though and there are some plus points for Candy Shop Bingo. New players are welcomed with a generous 200% first deposit bonus as well as bonus spins on the Fruit Shop slot. Wagering terms do apply - these are x4 for the bingo side of the offer but a hefty x99 for wins generated from the slots. The latter is quite excessive so you may not wish to take up that particular bonus!
One thing that made Candy Shop stand out, other than it's design was The Candy Collector game. This was an exclusive to Candy Shop Bingo and gave you the chance to win extra bonuses. Sadly this has now gone! In it's place there's the CandyShop Wheel which can generate bonuses. Spins of the wheel are offered as rewards such as when participating in the Weekly Rewards promotions.
No Deposit Bingo
If you do decide to play at Candy Shop Bingo then you will have access to 75 and 90 ball games, regular promotions like The Big £10L, plus if you prefer slots and a good selection of games. There are free bingo games too including The Daily Doozey which gives you three days of free access with no deposit needed. Candy Shop Bingo is compatible with mobile and tablet formats. Payments are handled by Brigend and you can deposit via Paypal and Neteller. Note that deposits via credit card will be phased out by April 2020.
Candy Shop Bingo shares a Prize Room with sister sites such as Bubble Bonus, Buttercup and Nutty. Tickets to the Prize Room are not for sale so you have to either earn them or win them. Each month Candy Shop will be running different promotions and offers for you to earn tickets. The prizes are pretty decent too. For example in January 2020 and February 2020 you could win an iPad or Cineworld Annual pass respectively.
It's hard to ignore that Candy Shop Bingo is another Dragonfish bingo site but for once that's not a concern. Despite the losses of exclusives like The Candy Collector game and No Lose Bingo there's enough to make it worth a look. The welcome offer is reasonable, although we'd ignore the bonus spins, but the CandyShop Wheel is a good incentive to reload your account. The Weekly Rewards and Prize room are also noteworthy postivies.
When we first looked at Candy Shop Bingo we wrote that it wasn't "the best looking site we've seen recently - which probably means it'll be very successful". The design has improved and it's survived to date. In many respects the branding came along at the wrong time. However this particular sweet shop is for over 18s only and there's enough on offer to make it a sweet experience.
