Glossy Bingo Review
Glossy Bingo launched in February 2013 and is a sister site of Butlers Bingo. The site originally had a unique magazine style look - along the lines of tabloid magazines such as Take A Break, OK Magazine or Chat. Among the homepage headlines were classics such as 'woman, 56, reunited with childhood sweetheart in bingo room'. Thankfully they've made a few changes since then including a new bingo platform in October 2020.
Glossy Bingo has recently (2019) had a makeover but before that it boasted as being the home of a £1.2million progressive jackpot winner. This claim has been consigned to history and the new site looks quite decent. Three cartoon style bingo players - two of whom look like they're in the same jumper - welcome you to the site. Glossy doesn't offer a no deposit bonus but you can collect a £100 of spins bonus when you deposit £10. Note that Glossy Bingo has a x50 wagering term.
Play Glossy Bingo
There are a number of bingo rooms to drop into at Glossy. All are powered by Pragmatic Play and include the Broadway Room, Friendship, Sapphire, Speed Bingo, Spinner Room and Rainbow Room. These are joined by the over-hyped Bingo Blast which is a speedy version of 90 ball bingo. It takes players right to the action so you know very quickly if you've won. The rooms are reasonably busy but this is because Glossy shares it's games with Rosy, Butlers and Dotty. Ticket prices tend to be on average 1p to 25p which is now more in line with most other platforms.
Back in 2013, Glenda was the host of Glossy Bingo and looked after the Reward scheme. Sadly Glenda has vanished but a Rewards program does remain intact. There are several levels of the program and there are benefits at each level. For example on Level 1 if you deposited £10 or more within the last seven days, you are in with a chance of winning free spins and bonuses! Additionally for every 10 casino credits you wager, Glossy will give you 1 casino credit back in loyalty tokens.
Our Verdict
Glossy Bingo is accessible on mobile, tablet and desktop. The minimum deposit is £10 whilst the minimum withdrawal is £10. Withdrawals under £10 are subject to a disappointing £2 fee. However that has changed from under £20 and we suspect most withdrawing players would not incur this fee. Progressive jackpot wins can't be withdrawn in full. Monthly admin fees are charged should your account become dormant and still contain funds.
Although Glossy can boast a big winner, the site hasn't really changed much since over the years. Whilst it now looks considerably better there's nothing here that you won't find on Butlers Bingo. The bingo and slots that are on offer are good although the wagering terms are off putting. We like the fact that Broadway Gaming have moved their brands to Pragmatic Play but disappointed not to see any welcome offers for bingo players. The lack of social media presence and community is also a disappointment.
