ITV Bingo Review
ITV Bingo is one of those brands that you think should be brilliant but for various reasons it's not! ITV have flirted with online bingo for a number of years. Their first effort coincided with the ill-fated (and quite frankly terrible) Bingo Night Live, a confused mish mash of Emmerdale Bingo, Corrie Bingo and the live show failed to grab the ratings - and it was soon canned.
The current ITV Bingo site is now on the Dragonfish platform. The site originally was standalone but was merged into the Cashcade Network that includes Think, Rollover and Bingo Scotland. The rooms at ITV Bingo used to reflect some of their top programmes like Coronation Street, Dancing On Ice and I'm A Celebrity. However this is no longer the case and the likes of Corrie and Emmerdale are now big rooms over at Gala! That's quite a kick in the teeth for ITV!
No Deposit Newbie Room
New players receive a 200% welcome bonus up to £100, with a minimum deposit of £10. Wagering terms are x4 for bingo. That's pretty much it! Inside ITV Bingo you'll find 75 and 90 ball rooms and a good selection of slots. Free bingo players are well catered for with rooms for newbies (no deposit needed) as well as depositors. The free games include a daily £100 jackpot plus a weekly £250 jackpot.
If you are looking for large cash prizes, there guaranteed jackpots up for grabs every day. Cards start from as little as 5p each and increase to 25p! As the card price increases then so does the prize available. The big money games tend to play on a Friday (£2000) and Saturday (£1000). Eyes down for all is 9pm but tickets can be purchased in advance via the lobby.
Poor Updates
Whilst the above sounds like a good platform for new players, ITV Bingo has some serious issues. For example the lobby area has tabs for sliding jackpots and a big jackpot. Not usually a problem except they're both advertising games from October 2015. In addition the homepage shows no updated winners or a latest jackpot amount. These signs are worrying and it makes us question whether ITV Bingo is just being run down. Most certainly it looks like it's lacking some serious TLC!
As mentioned at the start, ITV Bingo should have been a successful brand. However it does look as though it's heading for the exit door. Bwin, the company who purchased Cashcade, have recently appointed a new head of bingo and that may mean changes are afoot. Will they breathe new life into this brand or put it to sleep? The free bingo for new players makes it worth a visit but we think you may be wiser spending your cash elsewhere.
