Rewind Bingo Review
It was back to the 80s when Rewind Bingo became the latest brand to join the Costa group. It launched in September 2016 and highlighted penny games and prices from the decade that gave us big hair, BMX bikes and the Rubik's cube. Thankfully there's no need to dig out the power suits and shoulder pads. Instead you can unwind and enjoy free bingo, big jackpots and top slots.
When Rewind Bingo first launched it's backdrop had two 'Flashdance' style dancers with their big hair perms, leggings and socks. It was basically Irene Cara's "What A Feeling" with bingo! Unfortunately The UKGC decided cartoon dancers from the 80s might be appealing to today's generation of kids. So Rewind now has a very colourful look that wouldn't look out of place in an 80s techno pop video. We have to say it does look busy and perhaps not the most inviting of brands. Thankfully it's a lot less hectic inside the bingo lobby.
Rewind Bingo Welcome Offer
New players to Rewind Bingo are able to collect free bingo tickets on their first three deposits of £10 or more. On first deposit you will receive 120 free bingo tickets that can only be used in selected rooms: Ticket To Ride (75), Just The Ticket (75), Golden Ticket (90) and Choo Choo Ticket (5 Line). The rooms are open from 10am to midnight daily and winnings are paid as real cash. No wagering terms apply. 60 free tickets and then 30 free bingo tickets are offered on your second and third deposits.
You can try Rewind Bingo without actually making a deposit. Simply register and login to access a free bingo room, The Bingo Academy. New players have access to the room for two days after registration. Every 15 minutes you can play a 90 ball game with 25p for 1L, 50p for 2L and £1 for the full house. All prizes are paid in cash so no wagering terms apply although you will need to deposit before you can withdraw. Further time in The Bingo Academy - five extra days in fact - can be claimed when you become a first time depositor.
Rewind Bingo Promotions
Rewind Bingo offers 75 ball, 5 Line and 90 ball games plus a 52 ball playing card game called Bingo Vegas. Ticket prices are reasonable and there are plenty of 1p, 5p and 10p ticket games. Pre-buy is available only on jackpot games. Joining the bingo rooms are a good selection of slots. We'd have liked to have seen some themed slots take centre stage at the site. Instead it's the usual suspects in the guise of Fluffy Favourites, Piggy Payout, Shaman's Dream and Sugar Train. We're not sure why these games are loved by bingo players but for whatever reason they are!
Despite having cool 80s names such as Back To The Bingo, Jammin Jackpots, 80s Remix and Disco Beats, the promotions at Rewind Bingo are currently limited to those that you'll find across other sites in the same group as Rewind. 'Back To the Bingo' offers daily £20 prize pot games whilst in 'Penny Games' there are 3 x £50 games where tickets cost 1p. Additionally '80s Remix' is a series of surprise prize games. Theese are also joined by Jammin' Jackpot which is the depositors free game that plays every Friday.
You don't need to be a fan of the 80s to enjoy Rewind Bingo. The welcome bonus is good and we like the fact that bonuses are available on all deposits. No wagering terms on wins from these free tickets is another tick for Rewind. The choice of bingo rooms is reasonable although we'd love to see exclusives and a big more variation. Rewind does claim it offers bingo at 80s prices and yes there are plenty of 1p and 2p ticket games.
In our view Rewind has a great theme but nothing much beyond that to get us truly excited. We grew up in the 80s so it does spark some nostalgia but perhaps doesn't go far enough. It's great to get nostalgic about a specific decade but why don't Rewind play up to the theme? They could offer promotions with prizes like 'Frankie Says...' Tshirts and Wham! Albums? Something simple just to make Rewind Bingo more than what it currently is!
