£10million Blackjack At Betfred Casino
This Promotion Has Expired.
Betfred Casino are giving their blackjack players the chance to win up to £10,000,000! This promotion started at the beginning of 2019 and will run all the way through to the end of 2020. However, winning this life changing amount of money isn't going to be easy. All you need to do is get get 21 or less with 13 cards!
The £10,000,000 Blackjack promotion thankfully isn't just about getting a 13 card Charlie Hand without busting. Prizes can be won throughout the promo with Charlie Hands of 6 or more cards. In official terms: the chance to win a Charlie Hand prize is triggered when: (1) the player’s hand stems from an initial (2 card) deal; and (2) the player attains a hand comprising 6 to 13 cards without busting (exceeding a total of 21 points in the base game).
The following prizes will be awarded:
- 13 Cards - 1 million x Initial Stake
- 12 Cards - 100,000 x Initial Stake
- 11 Cards - 10,000 x Initial Stake
- 10 Cards - 1000 x Initial Stake
- 9 Cards - 100 x Initial Stake
- 8 Cards - 10 x Initial Stake
- 7 Cards - 5 x Initial Stake
- 6 Cards - 1 x Initial Stake
What Is The Charlie Rule?
According to Betfred "The Charlie Rule in Blackjack is where a player attains a hand comprising a certain number of cards without busting and automatically wins, regardless of whether or not they beat the dealer. A Charlie Hand is denoted by the number of cards in the hand. For example, under the Charlie Rule, a hand comprising 7 cards that does not bust would be called a 7 Card Charlie".
Minimum betting on the hands is £1 but stakes in excess of £10 will only attract the prizes associated with a £10 initial stake. In other words if you wager £20 and get a 6 card Charlie Hand then your prize will be £10 and not £20. Only one Charlie Hand prize can be won in any given hand and if a player busts trying to achieve a higher level then they won't win anything.
What Are The Odds Of A 13 Card Charlie
The promotion is scheduled to run until the end of 2020. However, the promo will close if/when £10million in prizes has been given away. This can be accumulated through multiple 6, 7 and 8 card wins or one very lucky punter scooping the top prize. The good news is that a single prize of up to £10,000,000 can still be won before the Betfred Blackjack game is disabled.
The first thing we thought when we saw this promotion was "what are the odds of winning"? This Betfred Blackjack game is played with a deck of 6 cards. To get 13 cards under 21 then you're pretty much going to need a run of several Aces and not many higher value cards. The odds will also be influenced by the dealers hands.
We searched online for some glimmers of hope and found nothing. However if we've understood this thread at Wizard Of Vegas a 7 card 21 based on a dealer with 17 has odds of around 35,000 to 1. Our heads hurt too much to extrapolate that to account for a 13 card 21 or less.
The fact is that Betfred are laying odds of 1million to 1 for the event to occur. The likelihood is that the odds are way higher than that. Hopefully someone with a calculator can figure out the odds - we're predicting that you'd have a better chance of winning The Lottery a few times rather than hit a 13 Card Charlie.
