Battle Royale Bingo - 90 Ball Bingo Game

Published On 22nd June 2023

Battle Royale Bingo is a brand new room that's opened at Foxy Bingo. It's currently exclusive to the Entain powered brand but we would expect it to be added to the rosters of Gala, Coral and Ladbrokes sometime in the future. Many operators strive to mix up the bingo game by swapping the number of balls, using playing cards or fiddling with the game mechanics. Foxy have opted for the latter by completely turning the bingo game on it's head. Instead of aiming to complete a full house, in Battle Royale you're aiming to keep your selected numbers in the game as long as possible? Sound intrigued? Read on to discover more.

What Is Battle Royale Bingo?

When you open up the Battle Royale Bingo room you'll be mset with a very regal looking design with beautiful purples, blues and even a red carpet. It's definitely one of the better looking Entain rooms which bodes well for the future (and may even given Tombola a run for their money). What you won't see in the room is a set of bingo tickets and that's because there aren't any. With this game you can select up to three numbers between 1 and 90 (each ball costs your stake). There's a lucky dip option if you can't decide a number. Each ball can only be purchased once so that means there's only a maximum of 90 players in anyone game. At time of writing there were four different rooms available - free, 10p, 25p and 50p. The free room was maxed out but if you can get in then it's worth a visit just to try the game before you pay to play. Once you've decided your stake and purchased up to three numbers then you're ready to play Battle Royale Bingo.

How To Play Battle Royale Bingo?

It plays like a traditional 90 ball game with numbers being called but instead of trying to cross off your chosen numbers you want them to not be called. In many respects you could call it Last Man Standing Bingo because the winners are the last player(s) with their chosen number that's still not been called. For example if Fred has 5, June has 15, Bob has 66 and Susan has 90 and the number calls are 15, 90 and 5 then Bob is the winner. To add a bit of spice to the game there's also an insurance element. This crops up randomly during the number calls and insures a selected number for five turns. If that number then comes out during those calls the player holding the number is out of the game but wins a small prize. It's a clever way to award prizes to players during a game. During the game you can keep an eye on your fellow roomies and see how they're getting on and whether they're still in the hat or have been eliminated. Prizes on offer aren't huge - £1 in the free room, £2.50 for the 10p game, £4.50 for the 25p one and a £6 jackpot if you wager 50p. We don't know if these vary depending on the number of players.

Our Verdict

This is a very clever variation on the bingo game and Foxy should be commended for coming up with something a little bit different from the norm. Like anything new it does take a bit of getting used to and getting your head around, especially if you're used to the first to the full house concept. Not surprisingly some new players to Battle Royale Bingo think they've won when their number is called but the reality is that they've just been eliminated. The design of the game is excellent and it's nice to see a bingo room that's not on Tombola looking decent. The free room is a nice addition to the roster as it does give players the chance to try before they buy. Whether the free room stays long term remains to be seen as does whether other Entain brands adopt the game. We hope that they do as this is a variation that we really like and that adds a bit of fun too.
