Lucky7 Launches At Tombola

Tombola have kicked off February by launching a brand new game. It's called Lucky7 and it's yet another variation on the popular bingo and keno games. As a player you have a selection of 49 tiles to pick from - you have to choose 7 of them - these are your lucky seven!
When the game plays numbers are called as you'd expect during bingo. Under each tile is a fruit symbol and you need to match seven of them to be a winner. If you match your Lucky7 numbers then you'll win double the jackpot prize. It seems a little confusing at first, especially as there's no indicator of which numbers you've chosen.
In fact the only way you know if you've got a Lucky7 tile is when it appears on the left of the game card. We'd like it if Tombola gave us an idea of the numbers we've chosen!
To add an angle to the game, Tombola have given it an American feel. We're not sure how the fruits fit in with the theme, but the callers all have an American accent, all the rooms are themed and there's a 50s jingle when the game is won. You can choose to play in the Diner, Gas Station, Motel or Drive Thru - depending how much you wish to play (25p to £1 a game). The cash pots will also vary per room as does the jackpot (won in a fixed number of calls).
It's a fun game and it's nice to see Tombola back on form in trying to offer variety to their players. Initially it seems a little confusing but once you've played a few times it becomes easy to understand. We'd have loved it more had we got seven oranges instead of just the six though. It is at heart bingo but it does have a fun factor that often lacks in 75 ball and 90 ball games.
