Football Frenzy Instant Win Game
With the Euro Championship 2016 about to kick off in June it's perhaps no surprise that football will be a popular theme for promotions. We expect that there will be a flurry of football related slots and games as casino brands try and jump on the bandwagon - at least whilst England are still active in the tournament. Sky Vegas for example are getting in early with a new game called Football Frenzy.
Football Frenzy from Core Gaming is an instant win game which takes it's lead from bagatelle games of old. The aim of Football Frenzy is to release the ball and hope that, with the aid of the players on the pitch, it ends up in a winning position. There's no skill involved for you the player though - it's simply a case of clicking the mouse to kick off and hoping for fortune.
The look of the game is pretty average - it reminded us of Sensible Soccer on the Sega. Game play is non existent and after several plays we quickly got bored. The fact that the ball didn't once drop into the win areas probably didn't help. According to Sky Vegas the game has a "theoretical Return to Player of 90.75%" - not the best compared to most slots.
To win on Football Frenzy you need the ball to land in one of the two trophy areas, the golden trophy area or the penalty spot, although the latter doesn't guarantee a win. If you get a trophy then you could win up to £50. Get the Golden Trophy and you could win up to £250,000 as you shoot for goal. The penalty feature sees you take on a goalie for the chance to win a bonus.
As well as the penalty feature there are also two free kick zones which essentially give you a free turn by introducing another ball to the game. Our thoughts are that it adds little to the game. In fact after playing a few times it's hard to imagine what would be good to make the game better. It's all a little flat and a little bit dull.
Still, that's our view but yours may be different. Football Frenzy is available to play in demo mode and for real play at Sky Vegas.
