Jackpotjoy will be hoping that ITV commission a new series of Red or Black?! The popular game site has exclusive games, including slots and Hi-Lo, for Simon Cowell's TV show and they've been enjoying a week of promotions featuring their own Queen of Bingo. However, once the show ends will Jackptjoy's game remain popular? We took a look at the slots to find out.
Red or Black? Slots is a slick looking 25 line 5 reel slot. It features icons from the TV show (no not Ant and Dec) and typical slot icons such as Bars and Lucky 7s. Each has a red or black background and this paves the way for making your first colour decision.
If you get a winning spin and your chosen colour accumulates enough icons to push the win multiplier up (at the bottom of the screen) up to x2, x3, x4, x5 or even x10 then you win is multiplied. You can swap colour each spin.
There's also a Red or Black? bonus round. If you get three Fortune Cookies then you qualify. You choose a Red or Black wheel, which after spinning gets you a number of cookies. You then see a tray of Fortune Cookies and you select these to earn a bonus or even win the progressive jackpot!
You can choose to play for free (demo) or pay to play. There are 4 pay options - each with a different progressive jackpot. Costs per spin are 25p, £1.25, £2.50 or £5.
This is a very high quality slot game. The music is excellent as are the graphics. The bonus round is pretty dull though with just one Red or Black? decision to be made in the whole process. We'd have liked to see them incorporate the Red or Black? roulette wheel end game!
The bonus round is a rare thing (as are all bonus rounds) so perhaps the game needs a second bonus round included? When you consider that Countdown Slots have three it's not unfeasible for this kind of thing to be included. Red or Black? is about making a 50/50 choice and there's not enough options to do that here.
Unfortunately we fear that the popularity of the game will decline once the show concludes. That's a shame as it's a very polished slot that with a bit of tweaking could be a lot better than the actual TV show.
