Most people have probably heard of Nostradamus. He was a French apothecary who published a series of prophecies. How accurate these prophecies are depend upon how often depends on interpretation. One thing that we doubt he did predict was that in 2016 he'd be the subject of a brand new slot game at an online casino!
Nostradamus Prophecy Slot from Playtech is a 5 reel slot with 243 paylines. It has various features including wilds, a planets bonus round and a Prophecy Book bonus. The game also comes with a series of disaster features - earthquake, lightening and tsunami. All three kind of seem wrong and out of place for a slot game - but we guess it's a little different.
The game is set on a castle backdrop and it features icons associated with Nostradamus. These include a portrait of him, parchment, books, planets and a telescope. In addition you get the usual slot icons of 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King and Ace. There's a gentle soundtrack to accompany the game!
Although there's 243 paylines you pay for 25 lines per spin. The cost per game can be varied from as little as 1p per line (25p a spin) all the way up to £5 a line (£125 a spin). There's also an Auto Spin mode and a Turbo Spin mode.
In truth this isn't the most exciting slot game we've played. The planets bonus round is simply a bunch of planets circling a few times until they stop. The music doesn't add much either - which is good if you're not a fan of big noisy slots. During our trial play we didn't encounter any lightening, earthquakes or tsunamis.
Looking into our own crystal ball we predict you won't be overwhelmed with this slot game. Still, if you fancy giving it a try then it's available at all Playtech brands including Vernons Casino, where you can try it for free in demo mode.
