With Halloween on the horizon we thought we'd take a look at a new release that's just perfect for this time of year. It's called Blood Suckers II and as you may well guess from the name it's Net Entertainment's follow-up to .. well ... Blood Suckers. Dare you enter the Vampire's Castle to locate the hidden treasure?
Blood Suckers II is a 25 payline, 5 reel slot that's set inside the castle of The Undead. Before the game begins there's quite an elaborate animation that sets the scene for the game - it's actually pretty cool. The main character, Amilia, seems to be a female Van Helsing type who's intent on killing vampires.
Crossbow Toting Amilia
The game itself looks good! The reel symbols consist of a mix of characters - some vampires, some not - and playing card icons. Scatters and Bonuses are also in the mix. To the side of the reels is the crossbow toting Amilia who gets animated during play. In many respects the set up is very similar to Net Entertainment's Dracula slot.
You can play Blood Suckers II from as little as 25p a spin. By adjusting the coin and level values you can wager as much as £25, although this may vary from site to site. An Auto Play feature allows you to sit back and watch the reels spin up to a maximum of 1000 turns!
Hidden Treasure Bonus Game
The Blood Suckers II game boasts a number of features. These include Scatters which can activate up to 10 free spins and a Hidden Treasure Bonus Game. The bonus round activates when three bonus symbols fall on consecutive reels - something we dislike especially when you get three symbols that aren't consecutive!
During the bonus round your task is to open up a few coffins to locate bonus symbols and keys. These will help generate spins and wins! However if you're unlucky and locate a hidden demon then your bonus round concludes.
Amilia isn't sat on the left of the reels just for the sake of it - although it does often feel like that. Occasionally (or rarely) she'll spring into action and offer a random scatter shot or bonus shot feature. Extra scatter symbols or bonus symbols are added to the reels when this happens.
Net Entertainment have come up with another good game that is perfect for those who fancy a bit of slots fun this Halloween. To be fair though it's not that scary and nor is it that exciting either.
During play we found that we rapidly lost interest in the story or characters - the game lacks atmosphere and engagement. In short we couldn't be bothered about the hidden treasure and didn't mind leaving the Vampire's Castle without it.
You may feel differently! Blood Suckers II is available at a number of sites including Jackpotjoy where you can play for free in demo mode.
