Does The Holy Bingo Have a Prayer
Over the weekend we received an email about a brand new bingo site. New sites are quite popular with bingo players, mainly as they tend to offer no deposit bonuses or big prizes. However, we think this new site may be getting attention for completely different reasons - and that attention may not be good.
The Holy Bingo was launched on 6th of June and it's offering new players £10 free bingo and a 100% deposit bonus. Yes, folks, you heard the name correctly! It's The Holy Bingo - and it comes complete with a white dove of peace on it's logo. Even if they're not deliberately trying to connect bingo and religion the name does seem a little on the crass side.
Perhaps the only "way out" of this would be to rebrand the site with some superheroes who look like Batman and Robin (but on copyright issues aren't Batman and Robin) and have them doing "holy bingo players, Batman" type comments.
This isn't the first time Holy Bingo has appeared as a term though! Les Harding wrote a book called "Holy Bingo, the Lingo of Eden, Jumpin' Jehosophat and the Land of Nod". It's described as "an unruly companion to the typical Bible dictionary" and from what we can tell has nothing to do with bingo.
Bingo Port has plenty to do with bingo and we wonder whether they have clairvoyance? Back in March they posted this cartoon called Holy Bingo Matrimony.
Did you know that bingo can be used to "learn scriptural truths about yourself"? Nor did we, but Face Up Online have put together some holy bingo cards?
All that aside for a moment, The Holy Bingo doesn't redeem itself by providing players with a good place to play bingo. The site is powered by Aberrant Software, who also do Maria Bingo. You'll find a mix of European bingo rooms on the site and the fact that only 2 players are in the UK rooms speaks volumes.
