Free Betting Tips

Where ever you find sports and betting information you'll also find tipsters. Tips are in fact everywhere including from popular sources such as The Racing Post, Alex Hammond on Sky Sports, The Guardian and At The Races. Free tips on racing and football are the most popular, and their popularity has increased considerably thanks to social media. However, social media has also brought about problems for this sector of gambling. Some tipsters have been known to lie about their success rates just to encourage followers to sign up at bookies which benefits the tipster. That said, there are many sources of tips - it's just a case of then filtering through the noise and using your common sense.

Daily Tips

Bookmakers may seem a strange option for seeking out free bets and betting tips, but they occasionally do offer them. Coral for example have a blog with a Betting Tips section. However, this hasn't been updated for some time. Similarly Betway also have a blog that regularly offers football tips. This is more up to date than Coral too. Remember that these companies want you to spend your money and their tips may be akin to a Share Firm emailing you with the latest "exciting share offer".

Social Media

Head to Twitter and search for free racing tips, for example, and you'll be inundated with accounts and tweets with all the latest potential winners. TheBetCommunity, Juicestorm, Punters Lounge Horse Racing Tips, Mirror Racing, Tipsters Round Up and Show Me The Profit Tipster were just some we spotted. A similar story can be found with free football tips. Betting Desk, Bets On All Footy and Match Bet Tips all showed up in our search.

We don't know how good or bad these services actually are in terms of picking winners. Our advice with any form of tipping service is to do your due diligence. Find stats on particular tipsters, search for comments from followers and maybe follow their tips for a couple of weeks without wagering. Look through their timelines too to see how much advertising of free bets, bookies and other services they offer. Do they have a website or are they just running on Twitter and Facebook?

Tipster Services

Betting Tips are big business and it's no surprise that companies exist solely to help. Betting Gods, Free Racing Tips and Free Footy Tips all exist to help you with your wagers. These services basically employ tipsters and run communities to hopefully get you more winners. Some tips will be free but to get to the meatier stuff you usually need to pay a subscription.

Free Racing Tips

Horse Racing Tips

Free Racing Tips
Sister site to Free Footy Tips. Get free daily tips by registering for free. Premium tips subscription costs £4.95 a month and £50 a year. Sign up via their bookmaker affiliate links for lifetime access. Results are available without access but only show win/loss and not profit.

Should You Sign Up?

By signing up as a free subscriber to any of the above you're going to receive daily/regular tips by email. You'll also receive regular incentives to join their bookmaker partners. Before spending any money check through the wins/losses pages and check out online reviews at Trustpilot and on Facebook. Betting Gods looks the more professional outfit, but it is more expensive. We like the fact that they are all about the tips and not about signing you up to a bookie!

If the price of Betting Gods is off putting then the subscription rates at the others is a lot more palatable. However although both services are related if you join one then you don't have access to the other - even if you take their sign up with a bookmaker option. That said, there are plenty of options for free football tips and free racing tips. The biggest problem is figuring out which ones to follow and which ones will give you the best success rate.

Our advice is use them as a guide. Learn from the selections and build up a foundation of information so that you form your own bets based on multiple sources of knowledge and tips.
