Coronation Competitions & Prizes

In case you’ve not noticed the over use of red, white and blue in the shops, there’s a big Royal occasion just around the corner. King Charles III’s Coronation will take place on Saturday 6 May 2023 at Westminster Abbey in London. This historic event not only brings with it an extra bank holiday in May but it’s also a great excuse for brands to run Coronation themed competitions and prize draws. For example Sainsbury’s Magazine are hosting a 7 Days Of Coronation Prizes whilst Sponge Cakes are offering entrants the chance to win a two night break in Norfolk. In addition there are various hampers and memorabilia on offer too. Just search for ‘Coronation’ over on the competitions search facility to see the latest giveaways. We expect that there will be plenty more nearer the big day and wouldn’t be surprised to see things like share your Coronation celebration images. Most giveaways are of course open to everyone but at least one brand is limiting who can enter! Are you ready to Butlins?

The Butlin’s Right Royal Prize Draw

Butlin’s are celebrating the Coronation with a prize draw. According to their press release they say that”with the Coronation just around the corner, and it being a momentous time to spend with your loved ones, we really wanted to get involved in the celebrations and launch something fun for families to get involved in”. The Butlin’s Right Royal Prize Draw is giving you the chance to win one of three family breaks. However in order to be eligible for entry you need to have a right royal name. This prize is only for those of you who are called Charles, Charlie, Charley, Charli, Charl, Camilla, Cam, Kam, Kamilla, Cammie or Cameron. If you qualify then make your way to Butlins and compelete the entry form before the 6th May 2023. Three separate winners will be chosen by random draw and supervised by an independent person and selected to receive a prize consisting of one Butlin’s family break for a family of up to four at a Butlin’s resort of their choice before 6 May 2024. Now you might be thinking that it’s worth putting an entry in and falsify your name. Not a good idea as “the winners must provide valid photographic evidence of their name by sending proof”. We guess you could consider changing your name by deed poll but firstly this is quite an extreme thing to do for the chance to win a Butlin’s break.

Win A King Charles III Bear

If you’re a fan of royal memorabilia and/or teddy bears then you must visit Merrythought before the 26th April 2023. They are giving you the chance to win a King Charles III Coronation Commemorative Teddy Bear. This prize is worth an incredible £345! To enter this prize draw all you need to do is head to the site and sign-up for their newsletter. The “lucky winner is guaranteed an exclusive low edition number” and the bear should be delivered before the big day. You’ll need to be a little bit quicker though if you fancy the idea of winning a King Charles III silver Proof Coin. This prize is up for grabs at The Royal Mint. Three winners will each receive one of three silver Proof coins from the collection: a UK 50p silver Proof coin, a UK £5 silver Proof coin or a UK 1oz silver Proof coin. The closing date for this particular draw is the 23rd April.

Searching For Coronation Prize Draws

Whilst we hope that most Coronation themed prize draws will appear on our listings thanks to our wonderful contributors, you might want to seek out more using social media and Google. Use obvious additions like ‘coronation’, ‘royal’ and ‘charles’ to usual prize draw and competitions search terms or hashtags. Keep an eye out for localised promotions too as these will attract less entries than the UK wide ones. For example on a quick Google search we found that there’s a window trail competition running in Guildford with a top prize of a £150 local area voucher. When searching you will come across the many pay to enter competition sites that are now part of the comping landscape. We found a site called Bonkers Competitions on our search and discovered that they’re giving away a Kings Coronation Fireworks Package worth £1459. It’ll cost you £3 to enter but you only have until the 22nd April to take part. If we spot anymore interesting royal themed promotions between now and the 6th May then we’ll add them here otherwise keep a keen eye on the Loquax listings over the next couple of weeks.
