Advent season is well and truly under way with quite a few regulars already announcing their intentions to run giveaways from the 1st December. We love that because it makes life so much easier for us too. One of the earliest brands to declare their intentions for advent was Marks and Spencer who once again will be running their 12 Days of M&S. Unlike a lot of prize draws and giveaways that will be running during December, M&S are running their promotion via an app. If you’ve not already downloaded the Sparks app then now is a good time to do so. Every day from the 1st you’ll then be able to find a reward within the app. This could be a freebie or discount. According to reports across the internet people were getting shortbread and gin!
Win Up To £10,000
Even if you’re not interested in the rewards and potential freebies that will be dished out during their 12 Days of M&S there’s another good reason to make sure you open the app daily. And that’s because there’s £50,000 to be won. All Sparks customers who open all 12 of the doors during the 12 Days promo will be entered into a prize draw. The first prize is £10,000 but there’s also 8,000 x £5 gift cards available to be won too. And that’s not all! A further two thousand winners will received free M&S products (if it’s not a festive Colin The Caterpillar we’d be disappointed).
Don’t Miss The Daily Reward
If you’re worried about forgetting to open the daily reward then make sure you mark M&S as ‘entered’ and add it to your Loquax advent lists so that you’ll see it each day of advent comping. Alternatively set a reminder on your mobile to open the app. If you miss a day you might be OK. According to the terms “The Daily Reward is available until 23:59 on each day of the Promotion, after which point it will become inaccessible. Customers using the app have an extra 24 hours to access each Daily Reward”. We suggest you don’t test the theory but do let us know if you inadvertantly end up testing it.
More Good Reasons To Download Sparks
The 12 Days of M&S isn’t the only reason why you should download the app. Looking through Marks and Spencer’s promotional terms there are references to other prize draws (all closed) that offered Mamas & Papas vouchers and an ABBA theatre break. Additionally “every time you use your Sparks card (or are logged into your account, if online) during a purchase, you will have a weekly chance to receive a little treat from M&S” and “one Sparks customer in each store (exclusions detailed in these terms and conditions apply) and one Sparks customer online, will win their shopping for free when applying Sparks at the checkout”. The Christmas page for Sparks also suggests that they are giving away 1000 x £250 gift cards to lucky customers although we couldn’t find the terms for this.

- Download the app before the 1st December so you’re ready for the start of the promo
- Login to the app daily and check out the daily reward
- Make sure you do this for the full 12 days so you’re in the prize draw
- Use Sparks each time you shop for the chance to win other prizes and rewards
- Keep an eye on the app for other offers and prizes.
