On 27th August 2024 Liam and Noel Gallagher announced that they were getting the band back together and that Oasis would be back on stage during 2025. Tickets are due to go on sale on the 31st August and locations include Principality Stadium in Cardiff , Heaton Park in Manchester, Wembley in London, Murrayfield in Edinburgh and Croke Park in Dublin. Looking at the dates we think there’s enough leeway for Oasis to add a few extra dates once the initial dates, inevitably, sell out in just a few minutes on Saturday morning. However with tickets most likely costing over £100 and limited supply it’s quite possible that eager fans will turn to seeking out possible competitions and prize draws offering tickets as prizes. Now you might be thinking that there can’t be any giveaways for a concert where tickets have yet to go on sale. You’d be wrong! A number of pay to enter prize draw sites seized upon the news of the Oasis Reunion and quickly offered entrants the chance to win tickets.
How Can They Offer Oasis Ticket Prizes?
If tickets aren’t on sale to the General Public then how can competition sites offer prizes? This is a question that’s popped up on a number of feeds and been addressed by some platforms. For example Bounty Competitions actually went live to explain that at the right price they can source anything to giveaway, whilst Cloud Competitions have explained to their followers that tickets can be sourced by competitions sites and travel agents through reputable agents. In other words a flutter of the eyelids and a flash of the cash can result in securing tickets in advance of the General Public. Some will say that this is inspirational marketing and being quick to take advantage of public interest whilst others might suggest it’s exploitative of the audience and that platforms should have the prizes “in hand” before giving them away. On the other hand it is giving people who may not be able to afford tickets or even get the chance to purchase them an opportunity to see the band. So let’s see who’s been giving away tickets – and for how much!
Who Was Giving Away Oasis Tickets
Let’s start with some good news and that’s a free to enter prize draw that’s being run by Bounty Competitions on their Facebook page. This is due to to be drawn at 7pm on the 29th August 2024. That’s as far as the good news goes because this prize draw has already attracted over 11,000 comments and 9000 shares. In addition to this social media giveaway Bounty have been running pay to enter prize draws. For £1.99 you could have won hospitality packages for an Oasis date at Murrayfield. Five draws, each with 3000 tickets per round, have sold out in rapid time! It’s a similar story over at Kilted Competitions. They too had five sets of tickets to be won and their giveaways also sold out quickly. Annoyingly they’ve not left information about ticket cost or number of sales on site. Sales have been good at Cloud Competitions too. They’ve sold out one prize draw for General Admission tickets for Heaton Park and have another currently running. At time of writing a second Oasis prize draw had sold 1068 99p tickets of a maximum of 6299. Another site, Apex Competitions, also have Manchester tickets but they’re offering prize draw entries at £5 each. Whilst this is more pricey than other platforms the balance is that they’re only selling 995 entries. Be quick though as this ends on the 29th August 2024.
Jumping On The Bandwagon
As well as the sites above, the following also jumped on the Oasis bandwagon.
- Highland Competitions offered two tickets to Murrayfield. Tickets cost £3.99 and with just 950 entries available it sold out quickly.
- The Giveaway Guys had tickets for Manchester and like the above they sold out in rapid time. Tickets for this one cost £5 each and the draw was limited to 995 tickets.
- Ace Competitions also had Murrayfield tickets. They too sold out at £1.99 each. However they’ve also run a free entry draw too (due to close 30th August but we’d expect it to be completed sooner).
- X-Clusive Competitions at time of writing had sold 69% of entries for Oasis at Wembley. Entries cost £3.95 and the draw ends today (28th August).
- Man Savings ran a draw for tickets despite not having them in hand. However they say they’ll get them somehow. Entries for this one cost £5 each and profits of the draw went to charity.
- Lightning Competitions were another platform offering Manchester tickets. Entries are more expensive at £10 but only 300 tickets are available. This is due to close on the 1st September 2024.
- North Coast Competitions also ran a free giveaway for Murrayfield tickets on their Facebook page but have also just announced that they will soon run a pay to enter draw.
- Rev Comps didn’t just have one Oasis prize draw – they had ten! At time of writing a couple had sold out but others – despite closing today (28/8) – were at various stages. Entry prices also vary from £1.97 to £89.97!
The Above Have Closed – So Now What?
Although pretty much all the above will have closed by the time many people read this article in the hope of looking for Oasis ticket prize draws we very much doubt that the above will be the be all and end all. There’s almost 12 months to go before The Gallaghers take the stage for the first time in July 2025 and therefore there’s bound to be more opportunities to win. If more dates are offered then many of the above will definitely seek the chance to run more giveaways. Other platforms may look at picking up reseller priced tickets and offer them because they’ll figure out there’s a profit to be made. Should you enter these draws? That comes down to your own choosing! In general we suggest that if you’re inexperienced with pay to enter sites then stay away – even if the prize is something you really want. These sites are not licensed or regulated plus many don’t have safe or responsible play tools. For example Rev Comps’ £89.97 draw allows you to purchase up to five tickets – close to £450 – if you played that on a bingo site or slots site then that might flag up the safe gambling team to ensure your safety.
Oasis Ticket Free Prize Draws
All the above sites allow a free entry route via post. That’s the good news! The bad news is that because they rapidly sell out it’s impossible to utilise this route. It’s a bit of a grey area because in theory they should allow time for everyone to enter whether it’s paid or not. However don’t expect anything to change any time soon. But what about other online free prize draws? We expect to see a few free to enter giveaways for Oasis tickets over the coming months. The best advice is to keep an eye on our Concert Tickets prize section and see what appears. It’s hard to suggest any specific brands to look out for because anyone, everyone or no one might be on this particular bandwagon. These tickets are going be highly sought after. Whilst we hope to spot every free prize draw you might also want to do your own regular searches for “win Oasis Tickets”, “Oasis Ticket Prize Draws” and “Oasis Tickets UK Competitions” via Google, X/Twitter and Facebook. Keep an eye on your friend’s social media too and see if they’re tweeting, sharing or liking posts on Instagram etc for Oasis ticket prizes. They’ll be popular though so don’t expect to find a low entry giveaway!
