Is There Light At The End of The Tunnel For Oldborough Estate?

It’s dragged on longer than a dodgy Eastenders plotline but could there be light at the end of the tunnel for The Wilshaws and their win a house competition Win a Devon Property with Fishing. It’s been around six months since all 46,000 tickets for Oldborough Retreat were sold out making it the first win a house competition to reach completion.

Intervention By Gambling Commission

However, thanks to the intervention of The Gambling Commission, no winner has been selected to take over the 5 bedroom house that boasts 11 acres, lakes and fishing lodges. The Wilshaws have been trying to keep entrants informed about the progress of The GC’s investigation via their blog. The latest report is below and things do sound promising judging by the nature of the comments.

Light At The End Of The Tunnel

The suspense is finally over and we have had a response from the Gambling Commission. We believe we can see light at the end of the tunnel now subject to our solicitor and barrister dotting the ‘i’s and crossing the ‘t’s and reassuring us that all is ok. Once they have done so, we will start to set in motion the arrangements to bring our competition to its conclusion!

Let’s hope that the conclusion is a lucky winner of this property! The result of this competition may well also have a bearing on how other win a house competitions fair in the coming months.
