If you’re a fan of competitions and fast food then there’s good news as the annual McDonald’s Monopoly promotion kicks off this Wednesday (22nd March). According to the advert (see below) there are more ways to win and as ever there are also loads of prizes including 20 Mini Coopers, 150 Airtours Holidays, cash prizes of £100,000 and millions of instant food prizes.
Although the McDonalds Monopoly website is still in countdown mode, the competitions terms and conditions are live. Monopoly stickers are found on qualifying product packs and there are various types of stickers that can be found: instant win, property stickers and online game stickers. The terms also gives you an indication of which sets of property stickers are required for each prize. For example:

Should you pick up an online game sticker then this gives you the chance to win cash prizes, Deezer subscriptions and CeX Vouchers. As far as we can tell there are two cash prizes awarded every minute so the quicker you collect an online game sticker the more chance you have of winning as there will be less stickers in circulation. This may also be one of those promotions where waking up at 4am to enter any codes will be more beneficial! If you live in Northern Ireland then you don’t even need to eat at McDonald’s to take part. You can pick up tokens via a NPN postal entry. There is also a limit of one application for a game piece per person per scheduled consecutive 7-day period of the Promotion. However as there are instant win cash and car prizes on offer we think it’s worth a punt.
All Prizes May Not Be Won
One thing to note with this promotion is that the prizes listed will not all be given away. What this means is that if no one manages to get all the property stickers for say Park Lane and Mayfair then the £100K prizes aren’t paid out. They don’t even go to a catch all prize draw at the end of the promo either. That’s standard for this promotion albeit some participants are probably not aware. We expect to see lots of requests for game pieces on social media and forums across the internet. As far as we can see in the terms there’s nothing to stop sharing or even selling of stickers. Our advice for those of you who do get involved with swaps – make sure you see photos of the stickers being swapped – and agree a way of doing the transaction so that it’s above board. Watch out for scammers!
