Win A Car With The World’s Biggest Quiz

There are 100s of prize draws and giveaways added to Loquax each week and the vast majority of these are standard social media or website promotions. However every now and then something crops up and that really stands out from the crowd. Last month it was a Treasure Hunt for a Fiat 500! This month we’re pretty excited about another competition and again there are cars up for grabs. In fact there are three electic cars waiting to be won all thanks to Autotrader. They’re hoping to win the Largest Online Quiz title in the Guinness Book of World Records and we’re pretty sure there will be one or two regular compers getting involved. The quiz takes place at 7pm on the 15th November but you can sign up now to get involved.

How To Get Involved

All you need to do – for now at least – is head on over to Autotrader and enter your details. According to their Facebook Event page they would also like you to invite friends and family too. The quiz itself will run from 7pm on the 15th November and will last for approximately one and half hours. A link to the quiz and live broadcast will be emailed to interested participants nearer the time. Note that the quiz is only open to entrants who are 17+, and have proof of UK residency or a driving licence valid in UK. You also need to agree to all T&Cs. It’s also worth nothing that a maximum of 50,000 Players may participate in the quiz. Our advice would therefore be to make sure you get your space by being ready for the 7pm kick off. The terms do state that you can still participate in the quiz after the start time but you won’t be counted as part of the World Record Bid. The format of the quiz isn’t explained although it will be conducted in various rounds and Autotrader are using Piing’s Quiiz software system. We’re guessing that participants will earn points for answering questions and these points are then compiled to create a ranking system.

Win Electric Vehicles & Spot Prizes

If you’re already thinking “I’m no good at quizzes and have no chance of winning” forget that immediately. Whilst there is a prize for the overall winner, Autotrader have really thought about how they’ll dish out their 173 prizes. For example there are Lucky Dip draws and to be included in these you just need to get one answer correct. But surely a Lucky Dip draw won’t have any exciting prizes? Wrong! One of the prizes you can win is a Vauxhall Corsa Electric Anniversary Electric Car. At the end of each round Autotrader will also giveaway 10 prizes to players ranked at certain positions. For example in 1st, 100th, 1000th place etc. The exact positions will be explained during the quiz. Details of these prizes and Lucky Dip prizes aren’t given but we do know two other prizes you can win. The player who’s leading after the third round will win themselves a Super Soco TSX 50cc Electric Bike whilst the overall winner – after all rounds – have completed – get to drive away a Vauxhall Mokka Electric Car. We don’t know about you but we think this is incredibly generous but also a fair way of running such an exciting promotion. By offering prizes throughout the rounds – and not just awarding them to the leaders – it keeps everyone interested in playing for the whole quiz.

Largest Online Quiz

You might be surprised to know that the current largest online quiz record holder, according to Guinness World Records, is Camden Council and Corporate Challenge from Australia and that the number of participants was 2328 people. We thought it’d be much higher than that but perhaps it’s a good indicator that your chances of winning a car might be fairly reasonable (at least compared to a typical online prize draw). At worst you’ll have a 1 in 50,000 chance of winning as long as you get at least one question right. You’ll most certainly be part of a World Record because we suspect Autotrader will take the UK title (as there doesn’t seem to be one). Fingers crossed that the event runs smoothly and that it’s a great success. If you’re going to take part then let us know in the comments below. Or if you got involved with the quiz after the event then let us know your experiences. Good luck if you take part and hopefully a Loquax user or two will come away with a prize.
