Horse racing legend Frankie Dettori has launched a new online raffle to help raise funds for NHS Charities Together. In conjunction with Racehorse Lotto, Frankie is giving you the chance to win a racehorse for the day. In 2021, hopefully once the world is back to some degree of normality, Frankie will race a horse in your name and your registered colours in a flat race at Newmarket. The winner will also enjoy VIP treatment on race day plus a luxury weekend break at Newmarket. Entry is via the purchase of raffle tickets but there’s also a postal no purchase necessary option.
How To Enter
To enter the raffle you need to head over to Racehorse Lotto and visit the Frankie Dettori Raffle section. The raffle entry is at the foot of this page. Tickets cost £2 and you can quickly select 1, 2 or 5 tickets to buy. However you can opt to purchase more tickets if you so desire. 100% of every ticket goes to the NHS Charities Together COVID-19 Appeal! Alternatively select “Enter By Post” to send in a no purchase postal entry. A maximum of one entry can be made per postcard or envelope received. However make sure you read the information regarding the postal entry. You do need to register with the site first. Login and then via your account get your unique-id number. This number is required for when you send in an entry. Importantly these entries do not contribute anything towards the NHS Charities Together COVID-19 Appeal.
Luxury Hotel Stay In Newmarket
Entries are open until the 31st May 2020 and the prize draw will take place on 1st June 2020. To enter you must be at least 18 years old and resident in the UK, excluding Northern Ireland. As mentioned the prize includes two nights at a luxury hotel in Newmarket. However it also includes a tour of the National Stud as well as a champagne afternoon tea and tour at the luxurious Jockey Club Rooms. There are a few things the winner will need to do with respect to registering the horse and colours, but Racehorse Lotto will be on hand to assist. We have scanned the terms to see whether they include anything relating to cancellations and in fact they do mention pandemics. They do say that they “will endeavour to provide the prize to the winner as soon as reasonably practicable” but if reasons out of their control, including pandemics, then the prize may not be awarded until the event outside their control has ended or they can provide the prize as substantially as possible. We suspect we’ll be seeing a lot of similar terms for holiday and event competitions over the next year or so.
