Some of you may know that Loquax utilises affiliate marketing to finance the running of the site. Essentially this means that if you shop online or join selected sites via links on the site then Loquax can earn a commission from that activity. It’s a good way for us and it doesn’t cost you anything! Anyway, over the last few years we’ve been active in the affiliate marketing community. The community has grown dramatically over the years and there are now posh industry awards – A4UAwards – and we’re pleased to say that Loquax has been shortlisted for two awards for 2008 – another great present in our 10th anniversary year.
Gaming Vertical Award
This award is designed to reward innovators and those that excel within their vertical! We put forward our Bingo Trackpot as an innovative and novel way to show bingo players how progressive jackpots change over time. The judges liked the entry and so we’re shortlisted along with Jackpotjoy, Virgin Games and Income Access. We’re really pleased about making the shortlist for this one, especially in relation to the other nominees.
Affiliate Marketing Blog of 2008
As well as keeping Loquax ticking over and stopping forum users from arguing all day (LOL), Jason also writes his own personal/professional blog at One Little Duck. This has been shortlisted for best affiliate blog of 2008 following nominations by others in the industry. Amazingly people actually read it… and even more amazingly they like it!
Will We Win?
The results of the awards will be announced on June 5th at a black tie event in London. Will we win? The competition is strong in both categories so we’re happy with the nominations (that’s Oscar speak for we don’t expect too) – but fingers crossed anyway!
