Win A House Competitions 2008 - 2010
Here is a list of Win A House Competitions that featured on Loquax during the period of 2008 to 2010 and subsequently closed. Very few of those listed ever reached the goal of giving away a property - most were either shut down by the Gambling Commission or ended due to lack of interest. One or two did giveaway decent cash sums and of course the Devon Estate property was one which did see someone win a house. We have updated this section (May 2017) to remove old links as the majority of the original websites are now closed.
Win Moore Park
Gordon & Maria Moore are offering a £650,000 Gateshead home with a Porsche Cayenne thrown in too in a Spot the ball competition. They hope to sell 15,500 tickets by 25th December 2009. Domain suspended!
Win A Cheshire Cottage
Here's your chance to win 10 Redway, a pretty stone built cottage in the charming and picturesque Cheshire village of Kerridge. Comp has closed with no details on the prize awarded or tickets sold.
Win A New Life
You could win a £1.1million house, brand new Aston Martin DBS and a £200k boat with Win a New Life. They failed to sell enough tickets and an undisclosed cash sum was awarded. No ticket number information given.
Sandbanks Life
Win an immaculate and stylishly refurbished freehold house in the heart of the Sandbanks Peninsula. The competition has now closed and a winner chosen who comes from London.
Win A London Pad
Winalondonpad.com is giving away an £8million prize of 11 serviced apartments in Central London to help GOSH. The latest winner is Christiane Oumohand from France. Updated October 2009.
Win A Florida Holiday Home
Win a $1.25 million Florida holiday home package by answering 3 questions. Only 350 tickets were sold from 45,000. A John Collins of London won £4,843.38 plus 107 other prizes were awarded.
Win My Ski Chalet
Win a £700,000 private chalet located in a top French ski resort or take a £630,000 cash prize. £25 ticket for 5 attempts. However the site has closed and all monies are to be refunded as of October 2009.
Win A Shoreham Beach House
Just launched this competition offers a £670,000 Beach House in Shoreham as the prize. Entry is via a Sudoku puzzle and 40000 tickets need to be sold. Site closed October 2009.
Fancy Winning My House
A 4 bedroomed house in Eastbourne is the prize in this spot the ball competition. Mr M.Evans of Nottingham was chosen as the cash prize winner.
Win A Cabin
Win a unique 3-bedroomed house in Bulgaria! The competition is now closing 30th June (extended again) and is hoping to donate funds in aid of the street dogs of Bulgaria. No details at all on offer!
Dream Home Competition
The prize is a £500,000 property, with five double bedrooms, spread over three floors, in Horsforth. Elizabeth Graham from Yeadon won a cash prize of £9,555.20 as all tickets weren't sold.
A Spot Of Luxury
The competition closed with only 864 correct entries. The prize fund (70% of income) was £11,540 and the winner announced as Mr Ian Coldwell of Derby. The house is now up for sale.
Win Our Home
Paul and Elizabeth Elson are offering the chance to win a £300,000 property situated in Frimley, Surrey. The competition is now spot the ball and ticket price is £25 for two attempts. Winner being chosen for a cash prize.
Win A Devon Property
The first win a house competition to sell all it's tickets. After a lengthy issue with The Gambling Commission The Wilshaws have announced that the house winner is Christoph Jaeger from Hamburg, Germany.
Prize Of A Lifetime
Mark Hinton from Hertfordshire won £4200 whilst Michael Loughrey from West Midlandswon £1800 as both competitions on offer failed to reach their ticket targets by a considerable margin.
Win Fellows Hall
Fellows Hall is an individually-designed 6-bedroom luxury contemporary home designed by Simon and Vicky Brown. Laura Drinkald of County Durham won over £27000 as the cash prize winner.
Win A Risca House
For £20 you could win a 3 bedroom house in Risca, nr Newport (Wales). 13000 entries were needed by the end of May 2009 but it has now closed. Entry is via crossword puzzle.
Win A Canterbury Eco Home
There have been insufficient sales to win a house, therefore, under the terms and conditions the prize will be a cash prize. Winner to be announced late May!.
Win A £1million Home
Play Woopi closed down their site after just one month on 23rd April 2009. Refunds will be made within 14 days. There was no indication of the number of tickets sold.
Win The Cheltenham House
The Cheltenham House failed to reach the required number of entries and Christine Evelen was award a prize of around £83,000. Only 5706 entries were received - 49,000 were on offer!
Win A Devon Property
Win a stunning Devon property set in 4.5 acres with beautiful landscaped gardens and mature woodlands. Answer a tiebreaker to take part. They aim to sell 50,000 tickets but are having ticket issues that are unresolved since January.
Win A Spanish Villa
This competition website has been removed due to personal reasons regarding the property owners. Entry fees refunded. No further details available.
Raffle My Bricks
Firholme is a spacious, Victorian, 4 bedroomed, semi-detached, freehold property in Totland Bay on the Isle of Wight. This draw has now been terminated by The GC and refunds being offered.
Maes Yr Haf
Win a 5 bedroom house with ample garden in a small Pembrokeshire coastal village of Trefin. Launched 3rd November, the competition is now on hold for "techincal reasons". Ended December 2008!
