The site is built on the Zap Competitions platform which gives it a tidy and stylish design. An app for both Apple and Android devices is available to download. The platform advises that this is the best way to get involved with the site as you can stay "up to date with the latest competitions, free giveaways, live draws and news". Since inception the guys behind the site have dished out over £7million in prizes to over 15000 winners. All draws are guaranteed and they claim to complete around 25 draws per week.

What Prizes Can You Win?

Unsurprisingly the prizes at Guitar Gear Giveaway are guitar based and as of June 2025 include items such as a Fender Vintera 50s Telecaster, an Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay 4 in Natural Gloss, a Gibson USA J-45 Standard in Vintage Sunburst and a PRS 35th Anniversary Custom 24 10 Top In Purple Burst. These are joined by a handful of amps, music tech and instant win prizes. The instant win prize draw (June 25) gives entrants the chance to win 10 different guitars, site credits and a £250 final cash prize. Prizes can be viewed by category plsu there's also an option to just view those that are ending soon. An option to re-order by ticket price or tickets sold would be useful.

How To Enter Guitar Gear Giveaways

Entering prize draws at Guitar Gear Giveaway is very easy. Simply answer a very easy multiple choice question, select the number of tickets that you wish to buy and then go on and complete the purchase. You do need to be registered and logged in to the site to participate. Each prize draw has a limited number of tickets that can be purchased. The number of tickets you can buy per draw is limited (although it can be up to 200). A no purchase entry route is available for all prize draws and these are outlined in the terms and conditions. If tickets sell out really quickly then the prize draw gets closed and drawn earlier than advertised. There is a lot of clarity with respect to entries with each draw clearly indicating the number of tickets sold and those that are still available. However there are - as far as we can see - any reference to entry lists as you find on some other sites.

Do Guitar Gear Giveaway Have Any Winners?

Guitar Gear Giveaway stream live draws on Facebook and Youtube every week on Monday and Thursday at 6pm. Prize draw winners are "selected using Google random number generator". When the winning number is selected the winner is then shown in a spreadsheet so there's full transparency. A full list of winners can be found on social media and on their webpage. A lovely little riff plays each time a winner is selected on the lives. The Winners Stage section on site provides the name of who won and the winning ticket number. There are no links to the prize draw videos though or entry lists. Furthermore no details are given regarding number of ticket sales for the completed draws (although no one seems to be happy to offer this kind of detail). Guitar Gear Giveaway has over 100 pages of winners all with photos showing very happy entrants with their prizes.

Responsible Play & Other Reviews

Guitar play is the key theme for Guitar Gear Giveaway but sadly responsible play doesn't even get a twang on a guitar string. As far as we can see there's nothing other than entrants "must be 18 years or older to enter, as well as a resident of the UK or Northern Ireland" in the FAQ. In terms of reviews, Guitar Gear Giveaway has 98% of them at 5*. They don't have that many reviews compared to other sites but we're guessing they're not touting for them either. There are a handful of 1* reviews which the owners have responded to. Interestingly one of the replies from the siteowner suggests that the player should "make the most out of our responsible gaming controls in your account to limit your spending". So good news that they do have spending limits and some responsible play features.

Our Verdict

There are a number of Guitar Prize Draw sites including The Guitar Marketplace, Guitar Comps and others. However Guitar Gear Giveaway is probably the best of the bunch. Ticket prices start from under £1 but there are occasional low entry (99 entries max) giveaways with higher ticket prices. The choice of prizes looks good, although to be fair we don't know anything about guitars! We like the many pages of winners though and that is a great sign of a brand doing things right. There's no obvious references to responsible play, but they do have some tools for players, and ticket limits per competition seem to be set at around 10%. That can still result in high volumes of payments. On a positive note GGG do support charities and have a whole section dedicated to this. In fact they run four big charity fundraisers every year.
