Redline Competitions

Redline Automotive Ltd - from Gaz and Mike - are the company behind Redline Competitions. After running several popular Facebook motoring pages they decided that they wanted to offer big competitions with low stakes and Redline was born. The site claims that they are "the market leader in Retro Hot Hatch Giveaways and Modern Classic car competitions". The site we think is powered by Zap and Wordpress. Compared to other sites Redline is a little bit sparse in design but they do seem to also shy away from the gambling and casino elements often utilised by competitors. Despite it's sparse look the site functions well on all devices and there's an app to download for Apple and Android. It's worth downloading if you join simply because you get early access, discounts and occasional free draws via the app only.

What Prizes Can You Win?

We revisited Redline Competitions in June 2025 and noted that they were hosting 20 different prize draws. Four of these were for vehicles and included Ford Escort XR3i, Ford Fiesta XR2i, Yamaha R1 and a VW Campervan. Joining these headline prizes were a mix of tech and lifestyle goodies such as Lego, Samsung TV, Makita Tools, Cash and even a Scalextric Set. The draws include a mix of traditional draws (with the winners picked live), instants wins and auto-draws (winners picked by computer). There's also a Treasure Hunt prize draw that has a prize every time but for that one you'd need to spend £5. Most draws though are priced quite low, many in the pennies, although low price equates to high ticket volume. Tangible prize draws all come with cash alternatives but they're usually considerably lower in value compared to the headlined prize.

How To Enter Redline Competitions

To enter a draw at Redline simply select a competition and then answer the multiple choice question. The question is usually stupidly easy. Note that the ticket indicator is usually set higher than one to encourage higher ticket purchases. Select the number of tickets you'd like to purchase before going on to complete the transaction. Each raffle has a fixed number of tickets that can be sold and these are indicated clearly. Draws should take place regardless of ticket sales. No purchase is needed to enter the prize draws at Redline Competitions. Details of a postal route are explained on site. One thing worth noting with Redline is that they offer good value to NPN entrants. For competitions with a paid entry route of less than a second class stamp, postal entries will be allocated a number of entries to make up to that value. For example, if paid route is 10p, a postal entry will receive the equivalent entries.

Do People Win At Redline Competitions

According to Redline's website they've created over 12,000 winners and given away just under £10million in prizes. The winners page announces the latest results although the information is limited to date drawn, winner's name and ticket number. You need to go to their Facebook page to see the live draws and results. It'd be useful for the winners details to link to the historic competition page and perhaps the live draw (where appropriate now that they also utilise autodraw and instant wins). Redline use Google's random number generator for their draws. They also try and contact the winner there and then to deliver the good news. Entry lists for each competition used to be available but we can't see them as of June 2025.

Responsible Play & Other Reviews

Responsible play sadly isn't mentioned at Redline Competitions, or at least we can't see any references to this. We do think that established platforms should advocate for responsible play and include at least a page explaining the tools that they offer players and that they're have the welfare of entrants at the heart of the business. GoGoVox Competitions is a good example - to a point at least. On Trustpilot, Redline Competitions boasts over 2800 reviews and 92% of them are 5*. Some of these reviews are from winners which is a positive. On the flipside the negative reviews contain the usual "I haven't won" fare which adds no value to Trustpilot. However there is an intriguing review from someone who purchased a car from a winner and isn't happy.

Our Verdict

Redline have over 100,000 followers on Facebook plus there's a private group of nearly 19000 followers. We're not in that group so can't tell you if there's any benefits compared to being a page follower, but getting the app is probably the best option if you decided to join. If you like free prize draws then the app also opens the doors to taking part in them. The Redline website isn't as glossy as some of it's rivals but there are plenty of positives including ticket pricing and the mix of prizes, especially if you like retro cars. There aren't any responsible play messages though which is frustrating and we're not keen on autodraws. However we're very impressed with the methodology applied to the no purchase necessary postal options. That indicates that the siteowners are being fair and have a good understanding of how prize draws should operate. In this sector that's a very positive attribute.
