Another day and another Raffall house competition. This time Richard Taylor is the owner who wants to sell their home and car via this mechanic. As is standard with Raffall the location of the property is a bit of a mystery. The details say that it's in County Durham and on a sought after street. We do think that more details should be given - even a town - so that entrants do have at least some vague idea where they could potentially be living in the future.
How To Enter
One thing that is better with this Raffall competition is that the house details are much more along the lines of an estate agent. The property has three bedrooms including a main suite on the top floor. Downstairs is a lounge plus kitchen/diner. The kitchen boasts a Rangemaster cooker plus Magnet Breakfast Island with Belfast sink. In addition to the property the owner is also including their 2017 BMW X3 2.0 M Sport XDrive in Midnight Blue. The car will be serviced before delivery.
To enter the raffle you need to be registered with Raffall. This can be done via Facebook or email login. Once at the house raffle page it's a case of answering a question and purchasing tickets. The question pops up in a window which we found disappeared very quickly. Tickets only cost £1 and there's no limit to the number you can purchase. You can purchase online using debit cards. As far as we're aware this property competition is not making any donations to charity. The owners have chosen this option because like others they're hoping to head for a new life Down Under.
300,000 Ticket Sales
Taylor hopes to sell 300,000 tickets (total revenue £300,000) before the first week of November in order to conclude the draw. If insufficient tickets are sold then the winners will receive a share of the compensation amounting to 75% of all ticket sales. All compensation payments are guaranteed and paid directly by Raffall Limited. This is a little bit different to house competitions run by individuals and should offer more assurance to entrants. The fact that the previous competition concluded within 4 weeks may also encourage entries.
Given the house description on this Raffall we'd suggest that this property has been up for sale by conventional means and not sold. By adoption the raffle approach Taylor will be hoping to push through the family's Aussie Dream much quicker. The property looks attractive and the addition of the car should boost sales. Our biggest concern with this one is not the competition. We're concerned that with so many property raffles launching on Raffall so quickly that users may quickly get win a house fatigue.
The winners were Courtney Morgan (House) and John Brannen (Car).
