This is the fourth win a property competition from Elite Competitions who have been successful with all their previous efforts. Unlike the hosts on the likes of Raffall or other platforms, these guys know about running competitions having given away cash, cars and tech over a number of years. With the property giveaways they're simply scaling up their operations and with an engaged audience showing how to make them work. There's no specific property on offer so locality and valuation will vary depending on the the decision of the winner.
As in previous Elite Competitions property raffles they've provided a list of suggested locations where a winner can choose their prize. For the purpose of this review we've simply picked the 3 bedroom home in Oxfordshire that's on the list. However other locations include Motherwell, Norfolk, Dover, Norton and Ebbw Vale. The list of properties vary from 2 bed semi-detached to 4 bed detached depending on the location. Included in the prize is a £10,000 furniture package, flooring and all solicitor fees paid. You can of course just take a £250,000 cash prize if you win!
How To Enter The Competition
To enter the raffle you need to be registered with Elite Competitions. Set up an account and then choose your tickets from the many that are available. You can pick your own ticket or use a Lucky Dip option. As far as we're aware there's no skill element involved. There is a free entry route though and this is outlined in the terms and conditions. Note that you will need to register an account to take advantage of this route. We don't believe that any funds will be donated to charity.
59980 Ticket Sales
Elite Competitions hopes to sell 59,980 tickets (total revenue about £500K to £540K) by the end of June 2021 in order to conclude the draw. If insufficient tickets are sold then the competition can be extended by 7 days for up to four turns. If after that all the tickets are not sold then a winner will receive a cash alternative prize of 70% of tickets sales. The remaining 30% is retained by the promoter. However Elite Competitions have stated that the prize is guaranteed to be won.
With an attractive offer and an engaged audience Elite Competitions make running property raffles quite simple. And given their track record we'd be surprised if this doesn't sell out by the end of June if not before. Our advice to entrants is to keep an eye on Facebook for special offers as the ticket price does tend to jump around a bit. For example at launch you could buy a ticket for £7.45 but it's now (at time of writing £9) and is expected to stay there until 50% sold.
