House In Sligo Town

The Ireland competitions keep coming on Raffall and this time we're back in the Sligo area with Claire Waldron looking to giveaway her three bedroom semi-detached home. It's located in the Maugheraboy area of the town of Sligo - and the town centre is just a 13 minute walk away! The property is also 3 minutes away from the Sligo Rovers pitch. Although no valuation is offered by the owner they do provide details about rental potential and Air BnB rental too.

About The Property

Unlike the Limerick property the owner of this one has provided a video and images of the inside and outside of the home on offer. It has two double bedrooms and a third smaller room alongside a family bathroom. It has also been recently refurbished with new kitchen, floors, furniture and appliances Legal fees and taxes will be covered by the owner and these are mentioned in the text. In addition the owner will thrown in n extra €5000 which is nice of them and the house comes fully furnished.

How To Enter

To enter the raffle you need to be registered with Raffall. This can be done via Facebook or email login. Once at the house raffle page it's a case of answering a question and purchasing tickets. The question pops up in a window which we found disappeared very quickly. Tickets cost £9 and there's no limit to the number you can purchase. You can purchase online using debit cards. A donation of 5% will be made to The ISPCA.

40,000 Ticket Sales

The promoter hopes to sell 40,000 tickets (total revenue £360,000) by the start of October 2021 in order to conclude the draw. If insufficient tickets are sold then the winners will receive a share of the compensation amounting to 75% of all ticket sales. All compensation payments are guaranteed and paid directly by Raffall Limited. This is a little bit different to house competitions run by individuals and should offer more assurance to entrants.

Our Verdict

At £9 this is one of the cheapest Ireland home competitions that has been uploaded to Raffall in 2021. Again it's impossible to predict how it will go but at a lower price and limited tickets this could do well with local backing. The addition of a cash amount is a nice touch and we do like the fact the owner has included rental details. We would like to know the valuation just to compare the revenue target - although that doesn't seem to effect how these competitions run when the homes are in Ireland.
