Spot The Ball
Spot the ball is required to enter the competition. Select the row and column where you think the ball is for the polo game shown. It costs £5 per entry, but note there's a 25p transaction charge. Payments can be made online using credit/debit card.
The target for the owners is to achieve £2.5million of ticket sales (500,000). If this is not reached by the closing date then a cash prize will be awarded instead. The cash prize will be the prize fund minus transaction fees. Reasonable administrative costs which shall not exceed 25% of the total of the Fees received will also be deducted.
House + Cash
Although the owners don't provide details about running costs of the property, the £50,000 cash prize is a useful extra. This could help the winner determine what to do with the prize (if that point is reached). That said, a break down of monthly/annual costs would be useful. This won't be a cheap place to maintain.
Note that as this is a spot the ball competition the "right answer" is determined by a panel. According to the terms this will be "an independent panel of three judges" appointed by the promoter. Details of those judges are not given.
Winner Annouced
The organisers of House Prize Competition were pretty quick to conclude things. However the winner of this competition received a cash prize. An announcement on the website stated that "Due to the complexity of our skill-based question we did not receive the number of entrants we anticipated and did not reach the required target". An independent panel of judges selected the spot the ball location and the winner selected.
Note that although the winner's name has been released there's been no indication of the amount awarded or number of tickets sold.
