Torre Archirafi is located on the east coast of Sicily and just north of Catania. It is the location of this raffle property that's being offered by Antonino Panebianco. He describes the apartment as the "perfect holiday home in a fantastic place". Not only does Antonio offer a good idea of the locality of the prize he offer provides a valuation - if only every Raffall competition did the same. According to the owner the current value of the flat is around 140,000 Euros (or approximately £120,000 based on the current exchange rate).

How To Enter The Competition

The property has three bedrooms, one big bathroom, reception room, small kitchen, and a very big balcony. There's also a garage in the basement of the building. We're assuming that the property comes with furnishings that can be seen in the few pictures on the website. However it does look quite sparse other than the beds in the bedroom. A few more pictures of the apartment would be nice! Note that the property comes fully furnished. All costs, fees and taxes will be covered by the owner. Flights to go to Sicily and finalise the transfer are also included.

To enter the raffle you need to be registered with Raffall. This can be done via Facebook or email login. Once at the house raffle page it's a case of answering a question and purchasing tickets. The question pops up in a window which we found disappeared very quickly. Tickets only cost £2 and there's no limit to the number you can purchase. You can purchase online using debit cards. As far as we're aware no charitable donations are being made with this contest.

80,000 Ticket Sales

The promoter hopes to sell 80,000 tickets (total revenue £160,000) by the start of June 2021 in order to conclude the draw. If insufficient tickets are sold then the winners will receive a share of the compensation amounting to 75% of all ticket sales. All compensation payments are guaranteed and paid directly by Raffall Limited. This is a little bit different to house competitions run by individuals and should offer more assurance to entrants.

Recent win a house competitions have been flagged up by us for their ticket targets and total revenue so it's nice to see an owner being more realistic. If this one does go the distance then the owner probably won't be too far off valuation once Raffall admin costs, legal fees, taxes and flights have been taken into account. Whether there's any wiggle room for marketing is another matter as getting winners for overseas properties on Raffall is proving difficult. For being realistic we wish Antonio well with his quest.
