The promoter of this competition is Forest Side Home. They've provided a lot of details of the property on their Raffall page but - like many others - have omitted to include a valuation. We've therefore set the valuation to be half of the desired ticket sales. In terms of locality we know that the cottage is a short drive from "Clumber Park, Rufford Park, Thoresby Park, Sherwood Forest & Sherwood Pines". The owners are running the competition because they've seen so many other successful raffles? Which is odd as not that many have been successful!

How To Enter The Competition

The property itself looks quite nice. It has two bedrooms, lounge, dining room and a newly fitted kitchen comprising of wall and based units. Outside is where things really start to look good. It boasts three quarters of an acre with a dropped curb and gated access. According to the owners the area is "ideal for a small pony, goats/sheep". To assist the potential new owners of the property with the space the house prize will also include a John Deere Ride on Mower. Details about taxes, stamp duty and solicitor fees are not given. A plus point for this competition is that they do include a floor plan in their images selection.

To enter the raffle you need to be registered with Raffall. This can be done via Facebook or email login. Once at the house raffle page it's a case of answering a question and purchasing tickets. The question pops up in a window which we found disappeared very quickly. Tickets only cost £2 and there's no limit to the number you can purchase. You can purchase online using debit cards.

200,000 Ticket Sales

Forest Side Home hopes to sell 200,000 tickets (total revenue £400,000) by the start of 2021 in order to conclude the draw. If insufficient tickets are sold then the winners will receive a share of the compensation amounting to 75% of all ticket sales. All compensation payments are guaranteed and paid directly by Raffall Limited. This is a little bit different to house competitions run by individuals and should offer more assurance to entrants. The fact that the previous competition concluded within 4 weeks may also encourage entries.

Another Raffall competition and another with limited details. We still believe would be winners would like to know location, amenities etc. If the current owners are struggling to sell then why are they struggling to sell? And why not include a valuation. This is basic information for a win a house raffle and it makes no sense to not include it. It makes even less sense when a house plan is included - which suggests that perhaps this has been up for sale recently. Nice property with too limited detail. Enter Competition Here
