It's back to The Cotswolds for the chance to win another million pound property thanks to Omaze, who are continuing their format of releasing a new prize draw just before one closes. The exact location of the property isn't given although Omaze do say that it's set "in the quintessential English countryside". We did try searching for Cotswold properties for sale with heated swimming pools but it turns out that there's a lot of properties there with pools! The house does have a Grand Designs look about it, perhaps a modernised barn conversion, but unfortunately we're having problems tracking this one down. Hopefully once the press start covering the promotion then we'll discover more about it's locality within the area. For now we've just used a generic postcode and map location. Update: big thanks to everyone in the comments who have discovered the location of the property as The Retreat, Conduit Hill in Gloucestershire. See comments for more details.

About The Property

The property itself looks a little boxy to us but we'd not turn it down as a prize! It comprises of four bedrooms each with it's own bathroom whilst the main bedroom has a dressing room which is probably bigger than most modern home bedrooms! On the ground floor there's an open plan kitchen/dining room plus Omaze have kitted out a snug, office and gym area. A heated swimming pool helps fill the extensive garden area which looks like it backs on to woodland. A £100,000 cash prize will be included though to help you settle in, pay the electricity bill on the pool, or hang on to it long enough to sell so that's at least something. All furnishings are included. If you win and are thinking about rental opportunities then Omaze suggests that you can realise between £10,000 per month.

How To Enter The Competition

To enter the prize draw you simply need to purchase tickets. Tickets for the competition cost £10 for 15 entries. Unfortunately you can't purchase less than £10 worth of tickets. Other ticket packages cost £25 (40 entries), £50 (85 entries) and £150 (320 entries). A recent new option is the subscription service. Pay £10 a month for 30 entries. Do check the terms before siging up for this! For a free entry you can send a postcard or envelope to the address given on the website. This is worth doing as "once a postal entry has been processed it will be entered in to the next available draw and all subsequent draws until the final Grand Prize drawing". Postal entries have an equal chance of winning as any one paid entry. If a postal entry wins a prize there will be no further purchase or payment necessary to be notified of the win or to receive the prize.

Guaranteed Prizes

As we mentioned in the other competitions, we think that it's worth entering this Omaze competition as the prize is guaranteed even if not enough tickets are sold. This means there will be a home winner and no competition extensions. Additionally there are early bird entry prizes on offer and the chance to win weekly cash prizes. For example enter before 14th May 2023 and you could win a Land Rover Defender worth £60,000; enter by 29th May for the chance to win £250,000 and enter by 11th June to win a Mercedes SL Convertible. Gift vouchers are also being given away in Big Dreamer giveaways that will also take place during the promotion. In terms of good causes, The NSPCC will also benefit from ticket sales. Omaze has guaranteed a minimum total payment of £100,000 for the charity. Note that the competition is open to UK residents only.

Our Verdict

The Omaze bandwagon continues and that's great news for win a house fans because quite frankly there's not too much excitement in other quarters. The days of individuals setting up their own raffles on the likes of Raffall look to be long gone now. Recent Omaze property prizes such as those in The Lake District and Cornwall have been - at least to us - quite attractive but this one is less so. It looks lovely and modern but it does seem a tad industrial or ship containtery (if that's a word). It'd be nice to know more about the locality and see whether it's set in a nice quiet area of The Cotswolds. However all this probably won't bother whoever wins because they'll either have a million pound property to enjoy, to sell or rent out for a decent monthly income. Enter Competition Here
